You know in Halo when you stepped over a weapon you already had how will that work in Halo 2. Say you had an Smg not at full ammo and you found another one you wanted to duel wield? What would happen, would you just take the ammo or get the gun?

It doesn't matter. Say you pick up the ammunition, then afterwards pick up the empty gun. Where's the difference?

You have to hold 'Y' to pick up a gun for Dual-wielding.... you should just pick up the ammo otherwise though you do raise a good point.

What if you can't spare the time to reload the empty gun, that is the difference.

he means does the empty gun remain on the floor after picking up all the ammo, or does - like in Halo, the gun disappear?

ok, you get the ammo, then theres an empty gun on the ground. You duel wield the gun, and VOILA! the ammo spreads out. Good question tho.

I mean like you know in Halo if you had a human gun and stepped over a weapon on the ground you just take the ammo. In Halo 2 say you had an SMG and you wanted to duel wield another but when you found one you just took the ammo.

What if someone else picked up the gun after the ammo was taken from it. Would the ammo still spread out into the gun, or will it be empty?

If you're that far up -blam!- creek, no paddle is going to save you.
