Ok, so we all know that bungie.net is acting a little slow with posts taking ages to appear. And so i had an idea and i'm not sure if it will make a difference, but anyway, if there was a limit to how many pages of topics there were would that make the forums act faster? like instead of having thousands of pages to accomadate every post made, why not just delete them, say once the pass the 1000th page they are deleted, or the 500th page (maybe even less). becasue i really dont think anyone will go back 500 pages to look for a topic and bring it back to life.

your thoughts/opinions.

This is true, and it definitely would speed things up a lot, and most websites seem to do that, but we like to keep things around so you can search for them later.

Then again, maybe the first 1000 pages should be resaet after the search comes, since pretty much everything before that was all repeated stuff anyways.

I'm sure there are days when Achronos sits there, hand on the mouse, pointer finger held down on the forum files as the icon sits atop the trash, just hoping someone bumps his elbow.

I can just imagine it: Someone actually bumps against, and Achronos goes like "Oh my God! what did you do?! ... ... ..." with a big smile on his face

Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

Well, i had a similar suggestion whereby the site would under-go a yearly 'clean-up'. Maybe they leave say the first 100 pages (just to be on the safe side).

What's the point in that, without a search function?
