The price of the maps doesn't matter, the fact that they will be required to play almost all of the playlists is what matters. I am an avid fan and player of Halo 3, but I have not yet purchased the Mythic Map Pack. But, come June, it will be required to play almost all of the playlists.
Team Slayer
Team Doubles
Team Objective
Social Big Team
Mutliteam
SWAT
That is the core of Halo 3 Matchmaking. If I put down the controller now and pick it back up in the summer, I'll have to pay to play!
Until I buy ODST, of course
Which isn't even a whole game, sadly

As I read these comments im shocked that not a single person is as floored as I am about the fact were being Roshamboed. The legendary maps were given there own playlist so buying was an option and didn't effect the majority of halo play. Why now is Mythic being integrated into the vast majority of what I feel are some of the most popular playlists so soon in its infancy and in a sense forcing you to buy them so your not so limited in live play. Furthermore, when ODST is released with the same maps how are you going to justify a fifty dollar or more price point for the game when many people will have already purchased three of the new maps so they can enjoy their playlists that bungie has made Mythic mandatory? Saying things like "awesome update and sweet man" only fuel the greed.
I support this post completely.
How many playlists will require the mythic maps before before ODST is released?
Why should I be forced to purchase the maps twice?
Can no one else see this? We're getting charged twice!
