im gonna say its a rocket hog mainly because there are so many rocket marks on the map and that the tank is too big to be used in zanzibar.

if the explosion is too small, maybe it's just getting started (like it isn't instantaneously big). However, i don't know that there were tanks in zanzibar. wouldn't they kinda be useless in a map like that (ie one that is cluttered and small)

Theres no tank in the demo version, or the version played at E3.
And I assure you, if he knew, he wouldnt tell us.
Bungie would have him at knifepoint.

Well, if it was a tank shell... it's greatly wimped down.

I'd have to think it's a rocket since they now have contrails in Halo2. If you doubt the contrail check out the latest 3D shot.

Maybe its just a normal hand-held rocket launcher....that trail sort of thickens before it fades away, and the rocket hog hardly has a trail, so im pretty convinced its just a normal rocket. If the explosion seems too big it might be because everything is revamped and the rocket launcher explodes bigger? Well Zanzibar wouldn't be fit for a tank in my opinion.

there ghost fire. and as for the rocket trail, watch the E3 demonstration. Theres no trail whatsoever (because when it locks on, it curves, and it would be hard to make a curved trail). And once again, noone said it was E3.

i watched the E3 demonstration, and did alot of thinking over the night, and i know that trail is not from a rocket launcher. And the rocket-hog's trail is very dark, smoky, and fades way too fast for this trail. So now, im %80 sure this is a tanks trail. As for the small explosion, I think it has just dies down, thus making it smaller. There is no sign of an explosive crate anywhere on this pic, and the trail is to small for a sniper round.

yeah, i pretty much agree that it's a tank shell. too thick for sr trail, there's no sign of a fusion core, like the guy above said the rocket trail is more black smoke than white, and the explosion is probably small because it just hit, and hasn't reached it's full explosion radius thingy yet.

The screenshot was from E3 2004. Notice all the vehicle and weapons from E3 2004? Notice its spartans vs elites like E3 2004? Notice that its the same map from E3 2004? Notice it was released during E3 2004?

Now, do you also notice that the scorpian wasn't at E3 2004?

(oh yeah I'd also like to note that the scorpian contrail in the original game was thinner than that, in fact it was probably exactly the same as the sniper contrail)

godamit ash do u do anything but flame? first off, just because the map was in E3 doesnt mean bungie cant test it whenever they want. second of all, Spartan vs Elite is the game mode. they didnt make it just for E3. Third off, the tank trail is way thicker than the SR trail dumass. The tank trail is from a rocket, the SR is from a bullet. WICH IS BIGGER????

Flame? I was just saying the tank wasnt at E3 which is where the picture is from as some back-up evidence.

I wasnt flaming you, hell I didnt even mention your name. I wasn't flaming anyone else either , I was posting my opinion on the topic. Thats what this threads for after all right? Discussion ;)

your always against the ideas, and u never have proof. i think if youde take the time to read over our threads, youde notice we have proved its a tank trail. besides, what is it then?

I had this same thought a few weeks ago when i brought up the glowing dots in this same picture (yes I know they are from the ghost) and you first off have to realize that Bungie freezes everything to take these pictures...so what you normally wouldn't see you can see very easily when everything is frozen. And secondly, I was not lucky enough to go to E3 and play, so this is my assumption and if I'm wrong let me know(not by flaming)...But Zanzibar doesn't look like you could even use a tank on it, other than being on the beach, I wouldn't think you could get past the wall...anyway I have my suspicions both ways but I have to lean toward it not being a tank just because that makes more sense

I think its a warthog trail, on the E3 video I can see that it has a smokey thick trail like that one. But you've said in the past that you won't even listen to me so ignore me if you want.

All correct.

Johny Joe, Ash isn't flaming you. He's simply stating facts.

Didn't last very long true, it lasted about a second but the screenshot can freeze at the time of the contrail still being there. The rocket does go very fast, not as fast as bullets though.

Also on the kikizo trailer (the one im referring to) its quite a light grey to me... But on your trailer it may be different I'm not sure. Anyway, I just think its a warthog.

I read it and you made a good point about the uselessness of a tank on that map. Also the tank trail I'm like 95% sure is thinner like the sniper trail because it accelerates faster.
