halo 2 still the best game in the series. long live halo 2.

Dam, I miss the old days playing halo 2 with my old brothers in arms. Thank you my old friends for giving me this account, I shall continue our legacy.

cortana stayed behind to trigger the self destruct on the human ship to destroy both high charity and halo, so that the chief could go stop truth. we all kno how that turned out, the plan failed and the flood took high charity to earth and went after the ark. as far as we kno the delta halo is still ther.

Which makes zero sense. They know that Halo is an extremely lethal weapon. The plan, by default, should be to destroy it, correct? Why leave just one more Halo around to destroy the galaxy?
Makes no sense at all.

truth left to go attack earth in a forerunner ship, stoping truth and his ship was more important to the chief so he left cortana behind to blow up the human ship ,which would hav destroyed high charity and it would hav destroyed halo, while he go kills truth and saves earth.

They needed to deal with the larger threat - the Ark. Destroying the ring would only have a replacement of it built, just like Alpha Halo. If the Flood destroyed Delta Halo and High Charity with the IAC, it would take away their only means of getting to the Ark.
They would have needed Cortana to destroy IAC - without her, they wouldn't be able to make High Charity move.

Doesn't destroying the Ark render the other Halo's useless? Then the fact Delta Halo exists wouldn't be a problem.

the ark allowed the activation of all the halo's to be activated remotely, without the user being killed by halo's weapon. with the ark gone, the halos can still be activated individually. plus the flood are still ther at delta halo, if delta halo is still there. the flood could still exist in the other halos so they still a threat.

If Delta Halo, and therefore, High Charity had been destroyed, then the Gravemind would have been stopped, along with the flood. In Amber Clad was completely irrelevant to the story, whoever brought that up. The Frigate in Halo 3 was Forward Unto Dawn.
But anyways, When Delta Halo is destroyed (hypothetically, of course), it would be time before it would be rebuilt. Keep in mind it's been a few months since Alpha Halo was destroyed, and it wasn't even complete by the time Halo 3 came around.
In the long run, Destroying delta Halo would mean nothing. In the short term, it would have stopped the flood from coming to Earth, High Charity from coming to the Ark. Halo 3 would have been a much longer game without the flood... Ha.
Cortana should have killed herself and High Charity the moment the chief left in the Dreadnought. Would have saved everyone a lot of pain in the level "Cortana", lol...

Yeah, on Gravemind on coop, you can watch the IAC rumble by at one of the gravity slides (or whatever they are) and it flies to where it eventually crashes and is seen at the beginning of High Charity. Isn't that what Cortana wants to blow up?

You can also activate the spawning of the IAC in single player by hopping up on the beams on either side of the gravity slide. If I remember correctly, it's the first slide/bridge.

The IAC was there mainly for the purpose of being blown up. It's usefulness to the overall plot of Halo is extremely limited.

Exactly. With the Ark gone, the UNSC and Covenant Separatist can return, and destroy it.

ARBITER, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT BUTTER!!! WORT WORT WORT.

Given how the Flood couldn't use the teleportation grid, not all of the Flood went on High Charity to the Ark, right? Exactly. The Flood wasn't defeated. There's still some on our Halo trinkets. Somebody still needs to activate the rings.
