Lol, I'm becoming an old man. Everyone stop changing avatars!

Nice, the 9700 was a great card, but it was hard to find. The reason the pc runs faster than your desktop is because mobile processors run faster even at lower clock speeds due to better and more efficient architecture.

cool and i think the processor has more pins than my three year older pc

I had this avatar since i started this forum

If you go to ati.com and click on the mobile productsand then the 9700 it has a list of laptops that come with 9700

the 9800 had one and it now has a geforce go 6800 ultra and it over $1000 dollars more than my laptop

It also might be that it has twice the memory

my 9700 can play halo at 1280X1024
decals on
shadows on
speculars on
particals high
detail high

it's awsome

and it's a mobile product so it is a bonus

my old pccan only run halo at 640X480 and every thing off or on low

my pc on my intergrated graphics card scored 3,000 on aquamark 3

that is below the low detail requirements (7,000)
with my 9200 se I got about 7,000 I think
the medium detail setting is 10,000
my laptop got 32,000 (30,000 for high detail)

storage, storage, storage: can't have too much of it
rpm: at least 7200 rpm
if you pc supports the SATA standard, buy a hard drive that supports it
there's something about a buffer or cache, so get a drive with a lot of it
try to set up a RAID 0 configuration if you want the best in performance.

Well, my chip is 3.6Ghz, and your is 1.6, i think that you need or should change your motherboard and chip. Remember, when you change a chip, it is very wise to upgrade it with a motherboard.
