Heyyo,
No, emulators aren't illegal to begin with. They only become illegal if you play downloaded copies of games, especially so with ones you don't legally own a licence for (REMEMBER: you don't actually buy the game, you buy a licence so you can legally play the game).
Btw, the $box emulators are crap, and it's a dead scene. I wouldn't bother with it guys.
Now, I think what he meant by lag was the netcode. How it's lame that you have to lead your shots. Sure, leading shots reqires more skill, but annoying as hell on pings higher than 100. at 200 HaloPC is pretty much unplayable. :(
But yeah, they already patched haloPC a few times, and I doupt they'll patch anymore. It's been maybe 3 months since the horrorible release of patch v1.06.. and I highly doupt we'll see the light of anymore. Let's face it, since m$ bought out Bungie, they wanted the $box version of their main game, their flagship game, the one that pretty much made $box popular, to seem superior in every way. m$, mission accomplished, you asses.
Ugh, I'm getting sick and tired of bungie and m$.. I'm soo gonna buy BF2, STALKER, FEAR, and pretty much won't be buying H2PC if it even happens. I don't wanna feel ripped of by a sleezy company that bought out a decent one and made that one sleezy too.
Note how any game $box-related gets a big ad campaign for it. That's how H2 sells, hype. I'd like to see them sell games by popularity and by just word-of-mouth as well as how HL2 sold. Especially so with WOW. WoW sold billions. No major ad campaigns, just sold itself cause of how much it apparently rocks.
As you guy's have noticed, my posting's here have been dwindling as well... I dunno, I don't play HaloPC that much anymore either.. maybe if the next crlan party has a Halo tourney I'll get into it again, otherwise no, and this game will probably just collect dust..
I'll still try to post here if I feel like it, no guarantees....
