It's totally true what the developers said about playtests, and tests for games in general. I work for a game-company doing testing for their games, and it can be really, really hard-going at times, usually in the beginning stages, but as your directions, reports, and discussions help tweak the game, you find yourself enjoying the game more and more, especially when there's something in there that you did, or you suggested.
Sometimes when there's a lack of bugs, you almost feel disappointed that the game's turning out so god-damn good.
I'm glad to hear the honesty from the guys, game-testing looks awesome in movies like Grandma's Boy, but it's only like that for finished projects ;)
