By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Hi all,

So, Wolverfrog...In my eagerness I just had to write this early. Sorry :D

I decided to go ahead and write up my favourite cutscene from Halo Wars.
Judgement Day...

Feel free to comment, criticise, advise and whatever.

Enjoy.

JUDGEMENT DAY
The Sangheili Honour Guards stood proudly in ceremonial red and gold armour, a large energy pike in their scaly hands.
The Apex site was situated at one of the highest of the Shield World and any Unngoy foolish enough to topple off, faced a painful death.
It was surrounded with what looked like tall buildings, but they weren't at all. This was the birthplace of the first Forerunner Fleet of Dreadnaughts...And it was about to fall into the wrong hands...

The Zealot, Commander Re'gish Wamik, paced among them. Thinking deeply to himself.
He looked up at the restrained human before him, on the edge of this holy site. How he pitied her.
Wamik's sharp eye caught a glimpse of her hand twitching, a look of surprise washed over him as he sped off down the long platform...It was now time...

"Arbiter, she's...She's began to wake." The Zealot said meekly.

Ripa 'Moramee, the suppressor of the Sixteenth Unngoy Disobedience, victor of the battle against the Kig-Yar Pirates, Heretic of the Decided Heart and now the seventeenth Arbiter in line of Immaculate Succession.

He stood with his back to the Zealot but clenched his fist to his chest as he heard the news, "finally!" he growled.

He pushed aside Wamik, his mandibles clicking together, and drew his Energy Sword.
Wamik followed Ripa and soon after, another Zealot followed too. Making sparks fly off the ground; the Arbiter carelessly dragged his sword along.

Professor Ellen Anders, the human being held by the stasis beam turned her head around and saw the immaculate silver armour of the Arbiter shining brightly in the artificial sun. He was flanked by two Zealots.

"Restraints off!" He ordered gruffly.

Anders fell to the cold, hard ground as the stasis beam deactivated. She took a second to catch her breath but was soon lifted into the air, Ripa's rough hand around her neck.
"Your judgement has waited long enough." He hissed.
He drags the helpless, struggling human along the floor and throws her to the ground next to a small blue spherical console.
"Just...Get it over with!"

Ripa took her hand and lifts it above the console; it reacted by spinning, only to stop by revealing the five keys to activate the Dreadnaughts that would surely bring about the extinction of Humanity and end the genosidal war.
He pressed her hand down on the keys. Due to the fact only humans can activate the Forerunner machines; the console began to emit a steady blue beam.

It was terminated in a flash and the beam extended as the once dormant ships around the Apex began to live again. Awakening from their eternal slumber, they started to unfold, revealing their deadly weaponry.
The Honour Guards moved from their posts and stepped beside the Arbiter, many took off their helmets to signify their respect.

"The Ancients have granted us the power to doom your race. Let the deconstruction of our gifts begin, the majesty of our new fleet will be unparalleled!"

The Arbiter preached, holding his fists up high and the Honour Guards did too. Their pikes waving as a sign of glorious victory.
Re'gish Wamik was different though, he stood at the back of the crowd near Anders. She saw that all the Sangheili were distracted, Wamik caught her eye and nodded at her.

She stood up and walked over to the platform where the stasis beam was, it began to glow as she looked up at the shell of the Shield World.
"Nothing ventured..." She whispered to herself. "Surface!"
The platform responded by teleporting Anders in an instant, her new surroundings differed greatly from the interior of the Apex.

She was in a seemingly calm wood, surrounded by trees and was stood on a bridge perched high up. "Well, that worked out pretty well." She smiled to herself, brushing back her panther black hair.
At a distance, she thought she heard a small thud and suddenly three of the small Parasites scuttled towards her. She attempted to back up.
"Or...Maybe not..."

One of the Parasites leaped into the air, she shielded her face, knowing it was the end...Then, and there was three loud BANGs as the body of the Parasite deflated. A UNSC cartridge shell beside it.
A figure moved over the hill, Anders shifted slightly to see her rescuer...It was Sergeant Forge. A large grin on his face.

"Lady, I haven't got all day. You wanna be rescued, or not?"
