Post about what you would like to see and wouldn't like to see. hopefully this will become a sticky because I have seen tons of threads about this stuff so if this becomes a sticky hopefully there will be more room for other topics.

i like most of it, i just don't like the fact that i don't have live, and i cannot get it without permission from their parents

I pretty much like the most of it but I do have some dislikes.
1. Rocket Lock on- Turns a gun that required skill to use into a newbcannon. Not to mention you didnt even need to hold it on the target for more than a second to get a lock.
2. Boosting on everything- The ghost boosting is sort of ok, but the hog having some sort of boost is retarded, also the banshee doesnt need a boost because it can FLY, that is a huge advantage.
3 . Energy Sword- Not that bad but at close range it beocomes a skill killer with the lock on attack.
4. This one isnt confirmed but I would really hate if the difference between the Spartans and the Elites in multi player was anything more than cosmetic.

its not even out yet and u already dont like things about it?!? psh. this is going to be the best game ever, stop worrying about wat will and wont be in it. u will love it no matter wat, i guarantee it.

It will be halo 2 so theres nothing not to like. as for you yurp stick to halo, its better for your umcomplex mind. You've said you don't like every thing that makes halo 2 different then halo besides the story line. So stick to halo.

God. Drop the stupid likes and dislikes of Halo 2. You haven't even played it yet. Bungie's not going to just take stuff out because you don't like what you've seen in the few updates and demos that there are.

1) i agree that this could be the most annoying feature and they need to make it where only one person can get it at a time or upgrade this feature. hoppefully it will be fixed since it was just an E3 version.

2) what good is a flying vehicle if it goes so slooooow that u cant evade anything?

The reason for boosting is so you can evade homing rockets, but what kinda scares me about it is the range of that lock on attack for the energy sword, I mean its like a 15 foot range, thats kinda rediculous, same goes for the homing rocket, but the reason that is so long of range is to you can take down banshee's

No you cant, not if they are locked on, as said by Joe Staten I believe "Locking on with the energy sword and pressing the right trigger will cause you to lunge forward giving your enemy an instant death."

1. The rocket lock-on is probably to take down the even newbier Banshee. And also I'd like to see you take down a warthog miles away with the regular one, its very difficult and requires more luck than skill.
2. The warthog (I'm pretty sure, if it does I agree) doesn't have a boost, why would a car (kind of like a car anyway) have a boost? Its not burnout or need for speed. It would make flag runs way too easy so I'm pretty sure bungie knows this. As for the banshee I think its for skilled players to dodge the new tracking rockets and besides the game is much vaster now so I think being able to fly faster will be great as sometimes it took too much time to get from A to B in the banshee.
3. Thats true but you need to remember that you must first get the dodging player in your reticle and pull the trigger ASAP to score a kill, I think it won't be as easy as it sounds.
4. I'm quite sure its nothing more than cosmetic and also makes you believe that your fighting in an actual covenant vs. human war instead of an unexplained fragfest.

I'm not trying to be mean, just trying to show you some advantages to those features and thus make your view of them more accepting. I think they are fine features and each one has a special purpose.

man, halo2 is going to be kickass... when i played the first one, i said things like "the pistol is kinda powerful" and "man, i wish after dodging a warthog 6 times i could be rewarded with it" and "it doesnt make a whole lotta sense having spartan vs spartan battles when the elites are the same thing" and "you can dual weild in marathon! WTF is this?!" and "this rocket launcher in UT3K is badass, i want homing on vehicles in halo"...

but halo1 didnt suck, or have a single fault i could complain about for very long, it just had room for improvement. they made the game in 5 months. for the new xbox. now that they spent there time, its without a doubt well thought out and far more perfect than halo. they took halo and make everything better by about 10 times. and let us use the plasma sword. ohhhh yeahhhh....

rocket launcher has kinda always been a noob cannon...but there is usually only one per level. and now that it tracks vehicles and not humans, it kicks more ass. the part that you have to scope to track is also cool, it balances it a bit. and in new mombassa, they sorta balanced the weapons-- one side had vehicles, the other had minigun turrets, plasma nades to spawn with, and the SSM launcher. hell, against the new hog and ghost, i think thats just fine...

oh, and the warthog doesnt have boost. it has an E brake. very nice, i think. ghost and banshee have boost, which i like a lot. the ghost was fine, but now its more cool/fun. but everyone can jump higher, so its still harder to get a kill running someone over...if you aint playing noobs.

and the banshee was a cheap crapthingy in pc multiplayer. you could crash into whatever, making it the best for running people over. and it had the FRG cannon on it, just to demolish anything. if you added the FRG cannon to the ghost, the ghost would be absurdly cheap. it would -blam!- warthogs like there was no tomorrow. throw it on a flying guy...bad idea, a good idea not to be in halo1 MP. but now that there is vehicle damage, and you cant run into everything...its all gravy. and homing missiles are good against those flag runners in banshees like so and so said...

what isn't a noob cannon according you and that other idiot!?
the tracking rocket makes it better and more skill related (holding the reticle on it/dodging tracking rockets) and same goes for energy sword. Boosting is just for getting around the levels quicker since they are going to be massive and for dodging attacks and evading other such things. and elites in mp just make it all the more cool
