Good question, the map packs aren't there either. Is H3 on the marketplace?

Yeah, I already have H3, I was just wondering. If they sell H3 that way they could sell H2 that way, so why not?

No, you can get the map packs for free, you just can't get them from the marketplace. You have to load H2 and get them through that menu for free.

There's a lot of games on the Marketplace that are original Xbox games, so I still don't understand why. There's got to be a reason.

Those are for either games that are for download or if they aren't then they must be for games that came out on Xbox when the 360 was out, Halo 2 came out years before the 360 was released.

Metal Arms, Glitch in the system came out around the same time H2 did, long before H3/360 and you can download that. Games for download on the Marketplace is what we are talking about.

Yes, it's called Content Download after you select Xbox LIVE from the Halo 2 main menu. It's they way maps were downloaded before the 360's time.

I think Bob meant games you could play live. CE you cannot play live so there is no content download conflict. Maybe Bungie cannot put H2 on the Marketplace because it is set up to play Live through the emulated H2 menu and maybe they can't do both at the same time.

I got mine by putting in my Halo 2 disk and DLing them from the menu there. That should work fine.

Do u think we should protest to bungie to make some more content for Halo 2, i mean like what if people can get an Xbox360? They should ake some more content for it, like vidoes, able to download the game, and more maps.

fixed

That will never happen.

Online support/content for Halo 2 has been cut off completely.

They are focusing on Halo 3 ODST, Halo Reach, and aswell doing updates to Halo 3 Matchmaking.

The Maps released for Halo 2 in April was the last ones ever.

The reason you can't download the Full Halo 2 Game to you're Hard Drive is because it requires testing. It isn't like they copy one disk onto the Marketplace and sell it to multiple people though Digital Download. Halo 2 must of failed the Digital Copy Version on the Marketplace hence why it isn't there.

The Map Packs for Halo 2 could be downloaded though the Xbox Live Marketplace, that wouldn't be a issue. Seeing as many people still use a Original Xbox to download the maps, I guess it would be easier for Microsoft to let the people on the original Xbox and Xbox 360 download it though the Halo 2 Main Menu instead saves hassle with moving everything around.

Bungie will not make new content for Halo 2, they have learned to use a new Game Engine with better Graphics. If they tried to make a new Halo 2 Map Pack they would proberly have a breakdown as they wouldn't be used to importing and making so little detailed graphics and textures.

Yo guys, i need a bit of help, its been about 2 years or so since the last time i played halo 2, and after playing halo 3, i wanted to go back and play halo 2. But when i started a matchmaking lobby it said i didn't have the required content (can't remember the exact message, at uni atm =P).

So i went through the content download on the menu, and found a map pack that i hadn't downloaded, it had a tick next to it but i was 100% sure i hadn't played it. So i though this was my answer. Anyway, i hit download to download it "again",(which downloaded it from what looked like the old xbox download screen and download bar) and when it gets to the end, it is suppose to restart you xbox and load back up, but mine doesn't! =(. It crashes at the end of the download, screen goes black, none of the buttons work.. so i turn it off.. and try again... same thing..

You guys experiencing the same thing or just me?

P.S. i had deleted all halo 2 content from the 360 hard drive and started again, but doesn't work >.<
