Subject: Uhh....256th Place?

I was creeping through my games of halo 2 from eons ago when I noticed something strange.

I finished 256th in the first game on the page.

If you click it, there are 8 players, and they had a normal finishing order except for me.

WTF is this?!?

(I was looking for the game when I got my 34.)

Wow, you must suck!
However, I think this goes in the Community forum, since this is probably a site glitch.

Anyway, in our hearts, we know you really you came first. *wuv*

I figured if I went there I would get told it doesn't matter at all, and that there are bigger things to be fixed than an ancient halo 2 glitch.

Since organized communities are usually more enjoyable, you should take your time to read the forum rules to save yourself some trouble and help keep the forums clean :-)

That's an odd glitch that I've never seen myself, nor would I want to. I would imagine that placing 256th out of a game with less than a dozen people feels pretty bad :-(

I have felt that before though...

So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

How strange! It could be a glitch!

Evidence that H2 was prepared to support 256-player games? Or just a quit-someone-else-joins-repeat-140-times -failsafe?

For some reason your place went negative...sorry, that means you suck even more, lol sorry. Considering that this value does not accept negative numbers it went to the largest positive number it could and then cut off the last two digits, 4,3,2,1,0, 25628, 25627, etc.

Other Gamer tag for Halo 2 is Whitescaver
Halo 3 GT is NZ Divine

That is because 256 is 100 In hexidecimal, or 100000000 in binary, which is the numerical cap in the game. (same for most games)

The highest possible number, how you got this though is questionable.
