I think this would be an excellent forum. It would get a place for people to escape from all the lying, annoying, have-to-post-in-the-Flood people. I liked the Flood forum before November 9th but now its just tonnes of crappy stupid pointless threads from people who joined after Nov 9th. So, Bungie, please could you make a new forum for people like me?

Elitism sucks. I know I'd be repelled from the site if I were new and saw such a Forum.

And yes, jaf is right. If anything, Bnet has got steadily better since the release of H2.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

First and Foremost-I know mine won't be accepted.
My idea of a good forum would accept only those who joined before Halo 2's release date (5/10/2004). Also, there will be people who changed their names and won't be allowed into the new forums. However, it can't be a set date. Every day the date would have to be +1 day.

EDIT- Don't know if that was bordering on political. Is discussion about Elitism political?

I would like this, but it would be unfair, there are many good people who joined after Nov. 9

Just because you joined before doesn't mean you are better. Why a public forum when you can just make a group on it?

Actually, right here is where its at. Occasionally people post threads which shouldn't be here, but no one responds to them.

Elitism sucks

How about you offer them constructive criticism rather than search for the snobbish way out?

Unless they are repeatedly told (In a nice way please) to post elsewhere, they won't do it.
If they act poorly towards your suggestions, let a moderator deal with them.

But to act like you're somehow better than any other geek on the internet is irrational. And wrong.

Hostage: I don't have any intelligence!
Sam: He he. You just called yourself stupid.

A worthier, new nobody.

You ... you mean I'm not better? How could you dissillusion me like that? :-)

And I think you would be best of creating a private group instead. I mean I joined before the 9th but I'm one of "those people2 you want to keep out. At least with a private group you could pick and choose. Just a thought :)

I was not talking to you Alex, sorry for the miscommunication. I meant that a separate, semi-public forum that wasn't group related would be an awfully snobby looking group.

An entire Zanzibar or underground full of people with Paris Hilton complexes... Ugh.

I only quoted you because I agreed with it.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Yeah you are so right. You Pre H2 guys are so much better then the rest of us.

Since H1 had no live, why would people come here? its not like bungie could fix anything. So there was no point to joining.

After H2 most of us became members cuz we had questions that we needed to be answerd. And H2 had problems that could be fixed.

So why are you any better?
If you think you are better then make your own group were only you cooler guys can join.
Like someone else said, this is a PUBLIC forum

If you dont like the flood dont post there. If you dont like the Underground dont post there.

Im sorry but i didnt see a sign that aid this was your own private place. Until I am told so, I will continue to post here.

Any confusion?

*ahem* People came here before Halo 2 because they liked the game EAGLE5, no more no less. It's ignorant to assume that people only joined because they had an issue with a game.

Don't forget -- Bungie has been satisfying moms since 1991.

No fair, i've never caused any trouble to the forums(or at least nothing intentional), and i've never complained about Halo 2, and have been a fan of Halo since 2001. Why should I pay for other people's mistakes?

A forum for people who joined before Halo 2's realease date is very unfair for many people excluding the spammers. Although I joined 2 days before, still many people who joined after are also very good people like some stated.

Basically, it's unfair and only makes people more angrier and jealous.

Oh...the irony, I am drowning in the irony....
Though this would be a good idea if we were talking about that idea for having a "Respected Member" Status. Otherwise, date means nothing but what it is. Many who joined after the H2 release were just as mature as those before. And some of those before are just as bad as the newcomers. Plus, what would I do? I joined two days before the release. Where would you put me? ;)

Im sorry, i didnt mean it like that.

Before Halo 1, U had the fans of bungies older games Such has Myth and Marathon. Alot of people didnt play these games so why join bungie?

After Halo 1. People join cuz they liked halo and wanted to disscuss it,
After h2- The Bulk of Bungies community joined cuz H2, to talk about and cuz h2 has its flaws that we all know about.

So why make a seperate forum for the minority?

Would you agree that there are more post h2 members?

Alot of people did play marathon and myth. If compared to Halo or Halo 2, it seems like a tiny number. I like the idea of a rants forum. I don't like the idea of a Pre Halo 2 Forum. Mostly because Halo 2 has almost no impact on forums other than Zanzibar and New Mombasa. We may get the stray person or two but nothing to major. If you are complaining about the flooded Zanzibar, well, that can't really be stopped.

I know alot of people played them. I mean alot of the current members.

Edit- Nevermind.

Everyone who really opposes this idea-

I feel the majority of you are people who won't be accepted into the forum for awhile. However, if you aren't going to be accepted, then why should it bother you? I simply can't see the logic. However, feel free to correct me as to why you are objecting. I'm sure there is a good reason. (If any of that came out sarcasticly, it wasn't ment to)
However, there are a few who would be accepted into this that don't want it to happen. The same argument stands. If you don't like it, then nobody is making you use it.

I'm sure that there is some huge point that I am missing, so if anyone wants to point it out to me feel free to do so. And again, none of that is ment sarcasticly.
