I have been thinking lately(you must think im joking) and it has occured to me that a possible solution to all this spam and nonsense may be to open up a new sub-forum worse than the flood( worse than the flood? is that possible?). It would be completely mod free, and totally enter and post at your own risk. (i.e. anything goes). I know this sounds like it could get really bad in there, but i would rather it all be focused at one spot than spread around the entire forums. Would this be possible, and more importantly, would this be ethical?

Sam Fisher: Give me some intelligence or you'll be pushing up daisies in a cemetery full of guys just like you.
Hostage: I don't have any intelligence!
Sam: He he. You just called yourself stupid.

A worthier, new nobody.

A lot of the problem is that people new to the forums who just want to ask something don't know where to post so the would still end up posting in the underground. The spammers aren't trying to do anyone any favours so I don't think they would post in the sub-forum anyway. Nice idea though. :-)

well for the new posters, there could be more clear directions of where to go.

People have trouble finding The Flood in the first place, let alone a sub-forum.

-Quaere verum.

Got a report? Use the report tool or send a pm.
Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

A forum worse than The flood already exists. It's called The Classifieds ;)

But a mod free forum? hmmm let me think about it.... No. If people want to do really weird, random, spam type stuff, they can do it on another site. Bungie.net isn't here to accomodate all peoples' needs.

So, good idea, but i'm afraid it's a definate no no in my opinion.

I disagree.

Making a forum where you can spam only encourages spamming on other forums. And most likely, people are going to miss it and post it in forums such as The Underground and The Septagon. This forum you are talking about would encourage spam, get some people against other people, etc.

If people really need to spam, they can:
* Do it somewhere else where it isn't disturbing anyone.
* Keep it to themselves.

But the problem is you know they wont.

Nor would they intentionally limit themselves to a single forum designed to let them be idiots, when the majority of their intent resides in aggrivating other users.

Do you honestly think that will help/stop spam?

People don't even posts threads in the right forums. What makes you think they'd actually go to this one forum?

What about making a group for the socalled "good guys"? I know it's like escaping from the problems, but that might be nice once in a while... To go to a troubleless forum without flaming and spamming wich also would make eveyone more relaxed and not make you feel like you have the moderators checking every single word. I know they don't but I still think that all the spammers have caused very tight rules and very intolerant forums. Maybe it's just me...

Forum that only lets in people who joined before November 9th/create a peacefull group? discussion
