Subject: Question about changing maps when hosting in Halo CE PC

Hey all, kinda new to Halo CE for PC (been playing the Xbox version for years, awesome game), and I had a quick, probably pretty noobish question if you all could be so kind as to help me out.

I normally just play with a small group of friends, and usually start the room myself. Try as I might I can't seem to find a way to change maps/gametypes after a match has finished, so when we're done with a certain map or gametype, I have to back out, and create another room.

I know that if I press Esc DURING a match I can select the option for "new game" and do it that way, but when I try that post-match (tried it both as soon as it goes to 'game over' and in the post-match carnage report' it doesn't work.

I tried looking for ways to create a 'play list' of sorts where it would just automatically roll over to the next map/gametype, but I can't seem to find that sort of option, either. I know something like that is possible since when I play on other public rooms as soon as the match is over it often changes to a new map or gametype, but I can't seem to do it, and it's probably because I'm overlooking something obvious.

Do I have to install Halo Custom Edition and use a dedicated server to do this? Or am I missing something else really obvious?

Any help appreciated!

Oh, and I'm sure I've played with some of you lately as I've really gotten into the multiplayer (I go by "Bio" in online multiplayer [yeah not that good, too used to controllers instead of M/KB lol]), so if you ever want to get a game going hit me up, I'm always game :)

Thanks again!

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

You can use the command console to start a new game during the Postgame Carnage Report.

Enable the command console by adding -console to the Target line in the Halo CE shortcut:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe" -console

Use the ~ key to open the console in game. You will have the use the first part of the .map's filename. For example, to load up Team Slayer on Battle Creek, you would need:

sv_map beavercreek "team slayer"

Check out the maps\ folder in the Halo CE folder for the correct filenames. Most are the same or similar to the in-game name. Hope this helps you.
