Is there anyway to remove mouseaccel when playing halo pc?i mainly play cs 1.6, but want to start playing halo again for fun. The problem is that there is mouse acceleration....which to me is terrible in an fps. another problem is that there is only 1-5 sensitivity. 1 is still way to fast.anyway in cs 1.6 there are commands to remove mouse accel. you right click on the game and go to properties then there is an option called "launch options" you click it and then you type this command in -noforcemaccel. that removes mouse accel. im wondering if there is a way to remove mouse accel in halo, and if there is a console you can access.

Halo PC allows independent adjustment of vertical and horizontal sensitivity 1-10, not 1-5.change your halo.exe target path to end with " -console" in game, press ~ to bring up consoletype "mouse_acceleration false"
Hey thanks for posting that, i didnt know this. I havent tried this yet but hopefully it works, thanks!
alright i tried that and i got the console to work, but setting the mouse accel command at false doesnt do anything. it keeps the games accel at .7i tried setting the value to 0 and it accepted it didnt do anything. there is still mouse accel.
Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.
Have you tried going into mouse properties in the control panel and disabling "Enhance Pointer Precision"?
yes, but that is for the desktop...it doesnt apply to any games. when you start any game it turns back on.
Okay. Are you using XP or Vista? I know of a hack that can increase your USB polling rate, which results in slower, more accurate mouse movement on the desktop and in games. Would that help?
Halo 1&2 PC forum's resident OC ReMixer. Like rockified and metalized video game music? Subscribe to my YouTube channel.Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.
Ok, lemme break it down for ya.Step 1: Create a file in your Halo directory called mouse.cfgStep 2: Pop it open in notepad and put in the line:mouse_acceleration 0Step 3: Save it.Step 4: Add the following line to your command arguments on your Halo shortcut:-exec mouse.cfgAfter that, when you start Halo, it should say "0.0000000" in purple text near the bottom of the screen. That will indicate that mouse acceleration is at zero. There ya go. I hate mouse acceleration, too.
I was having the same problem and found nothing that worked. I finally broke down and bought the G9 logitech mouse.. omg its nicehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9griLuZyxY
