Subject: I'm new. Can I assume the Septagon is for "mature" f...

Violence is just action until somebody dies.

You should all know what I mean. I am a 19 year-old, descently intellegent, serious fan of the Halo Legacy. I feel the Halo 2 forums on Bungie.net are somehow not up to my standards, as if 90% of the users their are all under 12 years old.

In becoming involved with the Royal Septagon Community, do I have the right to express my ideas, questions, and constructive criticism without ridicule or disregard? Is it possible that the Bungie Ninjas will take my words more seriously?

Yes - as a rule, the most mature users do post here. But you have to make posts on topic, so Halo 2 discussion is out of the question. If this doesn't suit you, I advise you to make a Halo 2 group for mature users only, or join an existing one.

Yeap. Welcome to the last surviving forum for mature, sensible people.

Let's just hope we can hold the fort against others who threaten to destroy our peasful little home.

-The Septagon: Welcome, friend.

That's shocking. An official Bungie Fan Club that sees Halo 2 as a taboo discussion topic? Why and how can that be? I admit I'm dissappointed, seeing how the Halo Legacy is still Bungie's primary project.

I suppose these "groups" aren't even really looked at by Bungie team members. They're probably sick of communicating with the public anyway. Sigh... my best bet is probably to continue posting on the standard Halo 2 forums.

The Septagon is for community discussion. Feel free to discuss anything relating to the development of Bungie.net here.
As for discussing Halo2, my advice, find a group and avoid Zanzibar.

I think you misinterpreted me, but I'm not sure.

Bungie.net Forums are divided into 12 different boards, each with a unique purpose (three for Halo 2). Bungie didn't say for the more mature members to come here, it just so happens that this board is the least frequently invaded (by the "omgz wtfz r u on teh boutz!!111??!?!?!!?" type).

There are some really good H2 Groups out there though - you really ought to look into them if all you want is quality H2 discussion.

Yeh. No one discourages Halo talk in the right places

We're also not saying that The Septagon is perfect either. Occasionally we get a few stupid posts by people who are asking to be blacklisted (In a few cases, literally).

We also do not discourage anyone from going to Zanzibar or such places, we merely advise against it due to personal experience.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Yes this place is safe. The mods post here the most, so there isnt much room for BS.

Yeah, see here it is. The Septagon is a B.net development section. This is where people post about making b.net in itself better. Asking decent questions and giving reasonible suggestions to make b.net better is what the septagon is for. And there are younger people that are halfway mature, such as myself. Im under the 16 year old area so...
Well, any way, groups are prolly the best places for H2 discussion, since the forums are filled with retards.

(clearly my personal opinion.)

Yes, I prefer the group forums when it comes to H2 disscussions. They are alot more mature and not so many stupid posts

Yeah if you want to talk about Halo2,you be better off finding a group because the Halo2 forums here are filled with stuff like 50 RE450N5 WHY HALO SUX!!!!!!

Well at least New Mombasa is...I don't really visit Zanzibar but the point is if you go to the Halo2 forums prepare to be overrun by retards with spelling problems and brain damage...

Ruiner is being nice. he left out the MLG vs Bungie spam, and the I hate Lil kids threads, and Off course the brits and There Americans win cuz of lag threads, and the update sux threads. All spam, all pointless

This place is devoid of all of that, because it isnt for h2, ts for bungie.

As far as I've noticed, so long as you're on topic here, you're fine. It's a nice haven for all of you who need a place to go when every other forum gets down on you. Just, for heaven's sake, be on topic.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

If there's one thing I cannot stand, it's saying "I assume everyone here is older then 16 and mature", or that sort of thing. Just because you're older then 16 does notm under any circumstances, mean that you are mature. That also means that you could be under 16 and be mature. I myself am 14. That doesn't make me stupid, immature, or say "omgwtfbbq!1!!!j00 lied! im tllinz0rz t3h bun61e m0ddz!11!". Actually, I have better grammar and typing skills then most of the members of the Bungie.net forums. (especially on an internet forum! If you respect a person, then you respect them. Age shouldn't matter)
However, the Septagon is the most comprehendable (for lack of a better word) forum. Most of the older members post here, so you'll get a lot of advice. However, if you want to discuss anything about any videogame, this isn't the forum. This is for community based discussion only. Hope I could help you out.

He who makes a beast out of himself, gets rid of the pain of being a man.

Pink Menace pretty much summed it up. I'm 16 and a mature member of the Bungie.Net forum community, and as said before, age doesn't really determine how mature you are. New Mombasa is a broken and burning mess, every now and then you will come across a good thread and some of the FanFics that are posted are good, but most of the posts are complaints about Bungie and "What do you think should be in teh Halo 3..." Its stuff like that and spam posts that ruin the whole experience.

Sam Fisher: Give me some intelligence or you'll be pushing up daisies in a cemetery full of guys just like you.
Hostage: I don't have any intelligence!
Sam: He he. You just called yourself stupid.

A worthier, new nobody.

I wouldn't worry about it - I think it will die down in time. People will eventually get tired of spamming the forums ... I hope :)

Also note that this is the forum that us ninjas watch the closest, so be careful ^_^.

I'll be on my own side.

ive only come to this forum twice, and now i think im gonna be here more often. all those intelligent posters who i thought vanished have been hiding here. make room for two more! me and the newcomer.

Yes. As another witness and native of the bungie forums, I must also say that The Septagon is a great place for mature people likewise.

The Flood Forum was a safe haven area for intelligent and good mature people away from "underage" people in the Halo 2 Forum. As a native of the Flood Forum, I must say spammers and unmature people are now invading and increasing its population.

The People there are now fleeing.

The Flood......which was once our great hideout empire...Is now overtaken by unmature spammers

Make room for me too! All we need now is a nice comfy couch or three. I don't often post here but I still watch it. The maw is also a (mostly) spam free environment but thats for Halo PC. There was one good thread in new mombasa, but its burried now.
