Yes. As another witness and native of the bungie forums, I must also say that The Septagon is a great place for mature people likewise.

The Flood Forum was a safe haven area for intelligent and good mature people away from "underage" people in the Halo 2 Forum. As a native of the Flood Forum, I must say spammers and unmature people are now invading and increasing its population.

The People there are now fleeing.

The Flood......which was once our great hideout empire...Is now overtaken by unmature spammers

What is this illusion?

I don't see why a lot of members (particularly ones that haven't even been around the Forums since they were made) continue attempting to delude themselves that the Flood was ever a "safe haven". It has always been a spam-filled Forum, and even though the original spammers were more subtle and intelligent than a lot of the newer ones, they were still present.

Indeed, some of the "respected" members there are the biggest spammers - yet they still mark themselves as "better" than others.

So, in conclusion, the Flood was never a good place. Better to let that thought fade.

I'll be on my own side.

an off topic forum is never a good place. fun at times( the popular word games) but ultimately a spam forum

I wouldn't worry about it - I think it will die down in time. People will eventually get tired of spamming the forums ... I hope :)

Ah, the effortless ability of the human race to reproduce, wherever one dies, three more springs up in its place.

Anyway, everything that is SPAM is off-topic, but not everything that is off-topic is SPAM. Learn before you preach intelligence.

Sam Fisher: Give me some intelligence or you'll be pushing up daisies in a cemetery full of guys just like you.
Hostage: I don't have any intelligence!
Sam: He he. You just called yourself stupid.

A worthier, new nobody.

I sincerely hope you weren't talking to me :-/ And yes there's a huge difference between the pointless, ridiculous fun of the three word thread (which is not spam) and the multiple threads posted by the same person in a few mins with no point. Nonsense =/= spam. well, not all the time anyway :-)

This place is devoid of all of that, because it isnt for h2, ts for bungie.

i love the question that started this forum. yes, this is an area for the more mature and i will stress, as always, that we were all once new to the games and that us mature players are really here to help and respect the new peeps. ( we are taking over the world still though )

yes, the bungie forum really tends to be infested with complainers and stupid spammers who make a thread about the SAME topic over and over again. it seems so far that you dont need to worrry about that in here. actually on the "mature" matter.well, im 13 and im quite mature..not much OMG LIKE WOW! WLKDPSA;DKP;[S I MEAN WOW! over here, unless i am VERY pissed. also, does having a deep voice count? :) though, what is the setagon's purpouse(sp?) or rather, what topics are mostly discussed? in general terms, is it about bungie improvement or something along those lines? wow! i just checked out "the flood" forum and well, lets just say i left as fast as i could..one thread was a poll about whether or not you would want to do it with a female elite..ive never been more freake out in my entire life..i thought halo was meant atleast for people with the slightest of brains.

yeah, if theres one thing ive learnt from the users of the forums here... is that they loooove to -blam!-, about anything and everything, including bungie!

Im dealing with a complete idiot who's spamming and being a general tool now... i think i've pwned him though.

Yes. You do make a good point my friend. But there's one thing.. The Flood Forum used to be a good place where nobody cared to spam or even reply to the threads that much. Only around a few topics were created in the old times.. I was around in the old times.. Now, many inappropriate threads and discussion are present throughout and I don't post there anymore much.

Once again, the flood was a good area long long ago. Now, it's only a distant dream to see it prosper again... If it ever prospers So I'm guessing groups and The Septagon are the only places where we can all be a truly a community where we can define maturity and a one big place?

HaloFREAK99635, slap yourself silly. What are you considering as "the old times" that you say you were in? Go to the last few pages of The Flood and then tell me there were no spammers back then.

No, no they can't. They are from when The Flood forum was created, which was almost a year ago.

Meh. I used to go the flood starting back around December.... The last few pages contained [b]noticeable[/] signs of spammers....

But there were good times...I remember strangely.. Unless I was being stupid again..

And for the heck of it

The Septagon is for community discussion. Feel free to discuss anything relating to the development of Bungie.net here.
As for discussing Halo2, my advice, find a group and avoid Zanzibar.
And New Mombasa
