I was coming up with a game that had the elements, and the theme of Halo. Well... it is Halo... except it doesn't involve the whole story. It is a multiplayer-based game that can manage to, at most, 300 people in a single game. The game would be started by created a city, and then starting a community. Building your city will be liking building a map/base in Forge/Halo Wars. Starting a community would be just like recruiting people, to groups, on Bungie. The larger you population, the larger your city. You could also ally with other communities and link your cities. This is just the beginning...

Not only can you ally with a community, you can wage war against one, too! Now instead of focusing on building a city/community, you start building your military. Now, at this point your probably thinking it is just like Halo Wars... no... Your not an editor, flying all around the map, your on the ground, with your troops, with a primary/secondary gun, and a pistol, not only that, but a device that gets you all your equipment, sort of like the computer thing in Fallout 3.

In war, you start at your base, then you move onward through different cities/communities. Don't like walking long distances? You don't have, too. Commanding officers of a squad can call a pelican for transport, a warthog/scorpion drop. You could also just get a hornet at the starting city. In this game, warthogs/scorpions will have extra seats, except for warthogs that have mounted turrets. The only problem with vehicles though, everything would be in first person, so it may take you a while to get the hang of driving, not so much with passengers, they can just shoot off from the side seat/back.

While in fire fight, if you rack up some kills, like in the Call of Duty series, you can have your commanding officer call in a cluster bomb, or a missile strike by using his computer device. He can pinpoint all the areas he wants hit, call in the strike, wait a few minutes depending on how far away they are from their base, and then watch the fire works.

How to become a commanding officer? Think of it like this, a commanding officer is like the forum moderators in a group. They got lucky, and stayed active and got promoted.

Let's get to your character. You can customize classes like in Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Change your character's appearance, and armor. It all depends on your rank. When you first start out the game as a recruit, you will have the default UNSC Marine permutation. Once you get to lieutenant, you will receive the ODST permutation. At major you will unlock the Spartan/Elite permutations. On your way through the ranks, you will unlock different armor pieces for the permutations.

Now to the weapons. While at a city, you can visit the armory. There you can buy weapon parts for your guns. A grenade launcher for the Battle Rifle, Dot sight for the SMG, or a enhanced scope attachment for the sniper rifles. Not only that, but you can attach silencers to all your weapons, except for the rocket launcher/spartan laser, of course. Speaking of the rocket, and the laser, they have a scopes. I don't really understand how they can sight in with those scopeless things, so I think it would make sense for them to have scopes.

So, that is my design. Good practice for being a lead designer for a studio. Please comment/question below.
