Just a few comments, blue elite I assume you mean ultra conservative rather than ultra liberal. Just to dig into this a little further, parents should take more responsibility as to what their children see and hear. Although every kid is different, no child should be allowed to play videogames with lots of violence or gore. At an early age, kids are very impressionable and before a certain point they can be heavily influenced by the media and practically everything they come into contact with. That point after which they have a well grounded sense of reality and can differentiate between what is real and fabricated is different for every kid, so parents need to step up.
Also, just a counterpoint to the $9 billion a year industry, not all of that comes from ultra violent video games. Also consider this, the drug industry generates a huge amount of money both inside and outside of the country, but that doesn't mean it should be sanctioned.
