One really stupid thing in Halo ( I can't believe I just said that) is that Tha Maw on Legendary is easier than PoA on Legendary. Now, that might just be me, or mabie you people think the same. I just think it's easier.

bah

What? Are you MAD? OK, let's compare the hardest areas shall we? In the PoA, the first "hard" area is the same as the first "hard" area on The Maw, and this would be the cafeteria. Now, on the PoA, the cafeteria is a sinch. Kill the Grunt, let Elites become distracted, melee in back. Turn to right, pop off Grunts with pistol, finish off Elites with plasma fire and melees. Now, on The Maw, it goes like this, kill off two Hunters, pop off Grunts, try to kill black ops boy, whose aim happens to be perfect. After killing him, you have to kill two of his buddies, who also have flawless aim, and manage to kill a few more Grunts too. Now, using my statistics here, one black ops Elite should be able to easily take out three blue Elites, so essentially that part of The Maw is a lot harder.

Now, the other area on the PoA is the landing. Now, I don't know about you, but I'd say it's a lot easier than the engine room on The Maw. I mean, engine room gives you infinite waves of Flood and Sentinals, landing above us gives you an overshield and marine support. Yeah, the Maw takes a lot longer too and it has that run at the end. Although the run is pretty easy, how many times have you done it without taking any damage at all? When I do it, my shields usually go down once. In fact, my shields go down a ton in The Maw and almost never in the PoA. So, I'll have to say The Maw is a lot harder.

As if either of them are actually hard.

Pillar Of Autumn is alot easier!

But the maw isnt exactly really hard either...

(maybe bungie think the last level should be fun.. so thats how they made it)

I mean, how many times do you play that level!

As far as I'm concerned the only level that I consider hard at all is the Library. And that's not so much hard as it is repeatative. Wave after wave of the Flood just keep coming and coming etc etc etc....

The Maw is fun, thats the important thing. I don't want a last level that will kick my ass and chew on my mangled corpse. I want a fun last level that I will play over and over.

Also from when you start legendary until when you get to the maw you will be constantly improving so you will look back on PoA as being hard because you were bad when you played it first .

What is hard? And does Hard mean Fun? Nope, it doesnt. Thats the thing, Halo has deviated so much from the usual videogame formula. Halo doesnt make you play the same level over and over again to complete it. Imagine if The Maw, or any level, was so hard that you had to play the level over and over and over again. It would be awful.

How the Hell did you make it with 3 min 14 secs.
I did the maw and got there with 2 mins 10 secs and done everything perfect the jump perfect did'nt flip once so how did you get 3 mins 14 secs.

To correct you Ripsaw:
It's spec ops not black ops. Black ops means illegal stuff, spec ops is special operations.

Me and my seven year old son finished the game again today on Heroic. He has been playing for two weeks. I made him play because he was messing with the controller while the Xbox was on and the TV was on TV instead of video and he accidentally erased all my player data and my saved games. I had beaten the game on all levels and now both of us will finish the entire game on Legendary by the end of the weekend, hopefully. More times than I can count, he is busy picking up weapons while I am getting pummeled, but lately he has improved and shown some real skills like melee attacks, cover, distraction, and even taking on hunters without a weapon. In my book, for a seven year old that is pretty good. He did however have troubles using the stock controller, so we went out and got a minicon controller that is put out by madcatz, it's really small and lightweight. perfect for his little hands.
