Other than giving an enemy a good bruise or headache, the staffs carried by the Honor Guard Elites wouldn't really do much. I would imagine that they're mostly for looks, and would only be used as a last resort for defense. Staffs are for aesthetic purposes, and weapons are for fighting purposes. There's no need to mess with that unless one absolutely has to.

See, it doesn't hurt that bad, now does it? ;-)

Well, in many cases the flag is a one-hit kill. I would assume that the Honor Guard staff is either substantially weaker than the flag, or the flag pole is simply made of reinforced steel.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

Probably no animations or programming set for them to do so.

It is possible to commit no errors and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life.

Cheeto is the only one among you that doesn't suck.

It wouldn't be that much fun. Assuming that they work, it would be like facing an army of energy swords. Not cool. Plus, it would take away from the experience of having to fight Tartarus and his hammer. I know, a staff and a hammer aren't the same, but they're close enough that it just wouldn't be interesting fighting the brute at the end.

Assuming they reach said enemy before they are given a good look at their internal organs courtesy of the gun pointed at them.

What I meant was.

Yeah.......... It would be like killing someone with a flag. And by Flag I didn't mean the Halo 3 flag. I was just implying that it was more for looks than anything not even thinking that in Halo their is a flag that you kill people with =p
