Hey everybody, i've got Halo2 and xbl, but my friends and i are still big fans of halo1 MP. just wanted to know of any good gametypes you might know of for Halo1. We still have LAN parties, and new gametypes are always fun. I'll start with a few of my own. Oh, and please, no spamming. I don't want to sift through random people's BS just to get what i'm looking for.
Anyway, my personal fav gametypes for Halo1 MP:

Name: Speedball
oddball, reverse tag
trait w/o ball:invisible
movement with ball: fast
16 balls, 15 minutes to win, no team play
no vehicles
weapon set: rifles
objectives indicator: nav points
unless specified, leave options on their default setting

Best for a small map (i prefer wizard or damnation), speedball is fast-paced and fun (duh). with at least four players, this game can get really intense. Basically, when you start out, you're invisible, and nobody has any balls, and thus, gains no time. When you kill someone else, you gain one ball. Once you have a ball, you move faster, but you are no longer invisible and you have a nav point over your head. If you kill someone with more than one ball, you gain all the balls they had. For every ball you have, you gain one second in time (your score) for every realworld second. So if you have, say, five balls, you get five seconds of time for every one second that passes. It goes by pretty quick, and is a lot of fun.

I'll try to add another one each week, and please, feel free to tell me some of your fav gametypes for Halo1. That's the whole reason i started this forum.

I'm not sure what Halo MP is. (PC Version?) But on Halo: CE, one of my favorite settings is:

Name: 12Gauge
Slayer (4-8 Players)
25 kills, no time limit, no team play, 200% Shields
No vehicles
weapon set: Shotguns;Unlimited Grenades
Motion Tracker: Yes
Unless specified, leave options on their default setting.

Best on Wizard! It's complete mayhem. Everyone is dodging grenades, but you got to get close to get a kill with your gun. It's a good way to master your reflexes in the game.

Name: SticK FesT
FFA: 4-16 Players
25 kills, no time limit, no team play, regular shields
No vehicles
Weapon set: Any, but do not shoot.
Motion Tracker: NO
Infinite Grenades

As a self-enforced rule tell all members of the game to ONLY use plasma 'nades and melee.
