My idea of a really kick-ass map on Halo 2 Multiplayer would be an all gametype level (Slayer, CTF, Oddball etc.) that bears a resemblance to a run down factory, around 50 years old or so and can have up to 16 players. It would consist of:
Two bases, similar to the ones on the first level "Halo" on Halo 1 or the map Infinity (for any of you who have Halo on PC) , with the usual, two warthogs of the four new ones, most likely Guass Cannon and Rocket. A Ghost or two and perhaps a Banshee, (these vehicles to apply to both sides).
The enviorenment would be a large wood/forest in the centre of the level, stretching from one base to the other (the bases would be in a clearing), and a small, winding path running through the forest, big enough only for one SPARTAN. (Just imagine the carnage, bits of tree and leaf falling everywhere in the ensuing chaos of a one on one fight with dual SMG's!!), and the ultimate hysteria of someone with a rocket warthog forcing his/her way through the trees!
Apart from the bases would be a few old iron towers in which some effective sniping could be done, and could also be destroyed with a well placed rocket (the base of the structure!!).
After reading a previous thread only a few minutes ago, i would also include trenches and potholes within the forest for those "Total Warfare" enthusiasts. LOL!
And thats it, if anyone would like to add ideas or improvements to this map, i would be glad to hear them, ~ and will take them into consideration before drawing it up as a final draft, putting it to Bungie and asking them to consider it a multi-player map in Halo 3~*
*The sentence between the dashes is not a serious idea, but i spose it would be worth the trouble if i got paid tons of cash in the future for creating and adding to the greatest game in history, and fulfilling my lifes ambition of doing something worthwile in my lifetime....
