I have argued with myself often: which marines are more annoying and less useful, those in CE or those in H2?

Both have good and bad to them. The ones in CE tend to really not look where they are either driving, shooting or tossing nades. They do have some good lines though. On average a normal marine armed with anything is more effective at actually killing covies than those of H2. The H2 marines can be downright dangerous. They lack the same discretion in when to fire off rounds, and the fact that they now can be toting a rocket launcher, well we all know the horrors that can come with that! They drive for crud, but if you give one a sniper rifle, well he is typically lethal, when he is actually trying that is. It is amazing how slowly marines fire their weapons in H2. If they have anything other than a RL or a SR, it is typically just more fun to use them for plasma grenade target practice.

The circle is now complete.

Beam rifles + Marine squad + High Charity = win!

I agree with Womy...one of the cool things in H-2 is that weapon swap can equal outfitting for your people. It turns the Warthog into a high speed tank if you've got a Marine who can accept your RL. In that the Marines have unlimited ammo, it changes everything. I've also noticed, if you point the...(uh...reticle) in the 'Hog, and honk the horn, the Marines seem to pay attention to it, firing more immediately.
