Make Bungie.net More Enjoyable: Read & Follow

That's what they said, but now I'm realizing that I'm glad they lied to us. I wouldn't be having as much fun right now if they hadn't denied the existence of another Halo game!

I don't think anyone can complain.....this is exactly what I wanted Bungie to do since Halo 3.

  • 06.01.2009 12:43 PM PDT

We're building a better world...all of them, better worlds.

I don't believe Bungie ever said they were finished making Halo games. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The thing that's truly awesome about the Bungie community is we jump to conclusions and, thereby, create the surprises ourselves.

Perhaps Microsoft decided that it wasn't best for Halo to end after ODST. And one has to remember that there is still Halo: Chronicles presumably. Ultimately it's Microsoft that has the rights to the Halo IP now. But I'm stoked.

Don't make statements like that without any proof. There was a Bungie logo present on the Reach trailer.

here is your proof
Well, there you go then. Not developed by Bungie. Soo....what's with this forum?

Gaming Systems:
Intel Core i7 720QM (4 cores, 8 threads)
4Gb DDR3-1333mhz
1Gb AMD Radeon HD 4650
Windows 7 64bit

Xbox 360 w/ 20Gb HDD (2008 edition) & XBL Gold.

I'm pretty sure in the conference Staten specifically said "A team at Bungie".

Normally I would agree with you. Except this time I'm pretty sure they said directly that they would not be doing any more Halo after the release of ODST.

I looked for the weekly update where this was stated but for some reason I'm not finding it right now.

Either way, if sources are correct Halo: Reach isn't developed by Bungie after all.

As I see it, Bungie have to lie. They've lied about things before, including the campaign expansion. Why?

Well, let's pretend you're Bungie, and I'm a journalist.

Me: Is it true that you are developing a campaign expansion for Halo 3?
You: ???

You have to lie, or else ruin the huge hype surprise crazy talk...

Monkey see, Monkey shoot.

Terry Pratchet - The Best.

I am fairly sure they said no more Halo games right?, well as far as we know Odst is entirely based on earth, so where is the Halo going to magicly appear from?. Just saying that maybe they wern't going to create any mor games with the Rings in it. Can still stick to the same universe, hell they have everything pre- and after the halo event to do with the master chief.

Heck maybe it is a way of twisting words, but i am sure at the time (when they announce no more halo games) there were threads interpreting about what they were saying.

Have to say though, carrot and carrot? in one annoucement!. crikey.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

You thought wrong!

lol

Like the guy above me said, they were just playing word tricks. The games aren't going to be about the Halo's so they technically aren't Halo games.

They will keep making 'em if you buy 'em. I know if it's good I'll buy it. So will my son who is reading all the books.

G/T: Stolenghost

this is most definitely halo 4 but not formally.
i count that this would be the 4th full iteration of a game based in the fantasy reality of halo land
odst is an expansion they said, with the campain jingy.

they probably lied because thats how a game gets done right
its on this forum because WE are the ones who care

Halo: Reach is being developed by Bungie. He said so him self on stage "Now lets see what another team at Bungie has been up to".

That site has got the wrong end of the stick, just because it is written on a website dosent mean you should belive it.

Bungie are hardly gonna make up crap and tell us that they are developing a game when its really MS game studios. If MS were developing it I think they would be pretty annoyed with that statement........ and how bungie managed to steal MS games studios' trailer of their developed halo game.

....spongy, bungie, who cares? I got mine!

Halo: Reach IS being developed by Bungie, hence why it is in their current projects.

Halo is Bungie knows now.
Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

I do not appreciate B.Net Group solicitation. If you ignore this and send me an invitation anyway, I will block communications with you.

Wait, didn't Joseph Staten specifically say that another team at BUNGIE was working on it before they showed the trailer?

If it wasn't a Bungie game, it wouldn't have a forum here, guys. Of COURSE it's a Bungie game.

  • 06.01.2009 1:04 PM PDT

Team Xbox has it wrong. Bungie is definitely making Reach.

  • 06.01.2009 1:04 PM PDT

I just hope microsoft let bungie decide whether it's good or not. They are the supreme rulers of the universe after all.

Exactly, if it's not being developed by Bungie, why is their site hosting the forum? Is it a joint project?

  • 06.01.2009 1:06 PM PDT

Welcome to the magical world of the internet, were common sense goes to die.

I'm not really surprised that Bungie isn't done with Halo. I mean Hideo Kojima has been saying that he'll stop making Metal Gear games since Metal Gear Solid 2 but here we are at Metal Gear Rising.

It is being made by Bungie, or else they wouldn't have put their logo in this trailer.

Hover over projects in this forum. You should see Halo: Reach under Halo 3: ODST. If not, go to the main page and you will find it.
