They all seem to be spartans. I can't quite remember but didn't one of the books say that there was a spartan who was taller than the rest? Anyway, I believe they are all spartans from the books. It's going to be great to have other spartans as your teammates instead of those idiotic marines.

How much would it suck if they used a dumb sucky AI that can't kill anything for the Spartans? I think that would just kill the immersion for me. The ODST's and Marines it could work, but Spartans? That AI would have to be good.

Far left guy looks like an Elite?

I'd say so.

Who knows what kind of Elites are to be found on Reach (Assuming that it takes place on Reach and all that)? Maybe we meet someone who is against the Covenant and the Prophets.

Certainly looks like an Elite to me.
Yep, it looks like an Elite with a squad of Marines.

I suppose the silhouette on the far left could be a Spartan. The helmet is what leads me to thinking so... The hips and thighs is where I wonder if it's an Elite or not.

but how could it be an elite?
that wouldnt make sense with the storyline..otherwise i would agree the silhouette does look similar to an elite.

  • 06.01.2009 2:01 PM PDT

my guess was that the far left is an elite that is on our side for some reason or other, an arbiter of sorts...

Be less fat.

I can't help it. Your mom makes such a big breakfast when we wake up every morning.

I just cant believe they would stray away from their typical Halo works, it has simply been too successful to go outrageously far away from the first person shooter genre.

Nope I'm pretty sure that's a heavy weapons' class Spartan (Sam from the books). He was bigger and taller than the rest of the Spartans. The weapon he's holding appears to be a mini chain gun.

It can't be an Elite. Elites were not allies with Humans until the end of Halo 2. Reach is before Halo: CE.

I think the hips on the Far left guy actually look similar to the middle guys. It has the same belt style section through the middle. Just appears to be an oversized spartan. He also seems to have some sort of shoulder mount, which would make sense for a Heavy Weapon specialist.

Yer, the legs seem to match. Never mind that whole Elite jargon. What a beastly monolith!

could the big one be a spartan 2 and the rest be spartan 3's cause most of the last load of s3s werent on onyx when all the sentinels started attacking and they were kept top secret for all we know they could of been on reach

93% of statistics are lies. Formerly Xfire Grunt. Unfortunately, you can't change the WLID for your BNET account, so I had to create an alternate account. My other WLID was spam city (and it was my e-mail account too).

Unless there were traitor elites we didn't know about (and they somehow didn't just go Waaargh Waaargh Waaaargh.... without translation software)... Elites would be tough to be in game.

I thought the same thing. The body is built like an elite also the figure is carrying a wierd looking weapon.

It would still be an FPS but on a much grander scale for both campaign and MP. Picture a full on 16-32 player battle on large maps (human and covenant) featuring never before seen weapons and vehicles. Of course you'll probably be able to choose your class before hand and have the option of switching classes after dieing which would result in a respawn penalty. We might see some form of a cover system and be able to fire from a prone position and maybe even a sprint feature. Whatever the case I'm quite positive that this will not resemble a traditional Halo MP experience. But that in no way is a bad thing considering the creative talent that's associated with this project ;-) If this is indeed the case then I would also assume that an unannounced Halo 3 follow up project is currently in development as we speak. Makes perfect sense as far as I'm concerned.

I dono I'm thinking either after Reach and ODST ship those teams would make a Halo 4 or another studio will make the future of Halo. I would prefer the former, but I'd be surprised if Bungie was operating 3 teams all of which were working on Halo projects.

Woah there. It's still Halo, not Call of Duty/Team Fortress 2. I don't think Bungie will stray off to different classes and all that jazz. The 5 spartans may have different classes but most likely only in Campaign. The traditional Halo multiplayer would be ruined if Bungie decided to add classes and cover system/prone shooting.

This.

I can imagine him having heavier shields (125%) but with slower foot speed due to all of the equipment he'll be carrying around. He may also have some medic and/or repair kits.

I forgot his name, but I think the guy on the far left is the Spartan that was like 8 feet tall that was described from the book. My bet is that Master Chief is the middle person. The far right is probably Linda, because she was a pro at sniping, and that person has a sniper.

The traditional original Halo trilogy multiplayer would be ruined. Halo Reach isn't part of the original trilogy. It can have any kind of multiplayer it wants. Saying that, I don't think the changes will be as drastic as some people do although I expect to see some changes, they always give us some nice surprises.

Why would it be ruined? First of all 2010 isn't that far off and more than likely Halo 3 MP will still be alive and well. What's the harm in trying to offer a different yet still high quality MP experience? Battlefield was and is an excellent game and if Reach MP goes that route then I have no doubt that it will kick all kinds of ***.

Sc King Cobra

Might be an elite, but highly doubtful. They are still at war with them. It could be an experimental armor type.

  • 06.01.2009 2:29 PM PDT

Sc King Cobra

It could be a girl spartan ( kelly perhaps?) but i doubt its a S3, Because Reach was before the spartan 3s.
