Subject: Halo: Reach set before Halo CE!

I like to be unique from everyone else, sometimes being unique is a good thing, or sometimes it could be the biggest mistake in your life.

Read the books!!

You've obviously not read the books. The battle for Reach was years before the Halo event.

I think in my opinion Halo reach is the war before Halo: Combat Evolved because in the trailer you see all the explosions on that planet, a war going on, the voice over at the end the man clearly says "We got Spartans on the ground sir" not SPARTAN, SPARTANS which means more than ONE. What do you guys think?

Watch the opening to CE again. Yes, Reach is before CE.

Read the books!!
The book was fan based, never intentionally come from the writers at Bunge.

Yes they were, Joseph Staten wrote Contact Harvest, Eric Nylund wrote the others except Harvest,Flood and Cole Protocol. They are accepted Halo canon.

Eric Nylund had first-hand contact with the Halo bible when writing the books, so the above statement is true.

Armor Lock isn't overpowered. You just suck at Reach :)

Reach isn't bad, you're just a BK :)

For my gamertag, look up "Ghoulishtie"

What I was about to say, Oh and an Additional note, yesterday i was bored and sad enough to read through the Halo 1 manual, there is a story so far bit.The last paragraph tells you that Reach Fell, and the Pillar of Autemn was trying to lead to covenant away from earth.

Heck it is even said in the first few words of the game. Sorry mate but silly thread.

The Fall of Reach (book) occurs immediately prior to Halo: CE.

However the events of First Strike (book) also mainly occur on Reach, immediately AFTER Halo: CE. So it could be either, or even both.

If you read into the backstory, the Pillar of Autumn (the ship you start out on in H1) had just fleed the Battle of Reach before the level started.

Wonder what Bungie have in store for use after Reach?

The books are really interesting to read. They explain alot about the SPARTAN-11 Project and what happened before the Halo trilogy. If I was you, I would go down to your closest book store and buy all of them :P I love them
