Dont forget that Bungie did not make Halo Wars.

  • 06.01.2009 1:00 PM PDT

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

People crave Halo games,so more Halo games are made.As long as they are good games you can call it what you want.

  • 06.01.2009 1:03 PM PDT

We're building a better world...all of them, better worlds.

Bungie is making quality games out of a great universe. It just so happens it sells.

  • 06.01.2009 1:04 PM PDT

question everything...truth has no pedigree

I wouldn't say they are 'milking' Halo. I think that Bungie knows that they're going to have to break boundaries and design some truly novel gameplay in order to get more mileage out of the Halo story. Personally, I think that they will smash all expectations.

I've already read all of the halo books today you stupid nerd. Plus Halo:Fall of reach twice.

Halo is a cash cow and they are milking ti for all its worth!

But who says thats a bad thing. The Halo games are great and have a large value. They want money, we want halo, everyone is happy!

  • 06.01.2009 1:05 PM PDT

Without me, it's just "Aweso".

Milking it yes. But there's a difference between milking something (Lord of the Rings) and milking it to death (Star Wars).

Wait, whats that? Oh, thats just the sound of no one caring!
And watch where you point that thing next time!

they are making money while satisfying the halo community at the same time.

Everyone wins.

Halo Wars wasn't made by Bungie.

ODST is getting released 09 and they already started working on Reach which is getting released in 2010. (Probably Sept 25th, 2010)

All this sounds about right.

Milking no. Getting the whole story arc out. Yes.

Exactly what this person said. ^^^^^

ODST will be good because it's a completely different take on the halo franchise and reveals the aftermath of the New Mombassa Slipspace event. Reach sounds like it might be based on the book (I've never actually read the book, just a guess) or other. It also sounds much more epic because this is before John 117 was the last Spartan and instead of fighting a few brutes and such with some marines, it will be all spartans kicking covenant ass. We'll might even get to fight Elites again!

I do not appreciate B.Net Group solicitation. If you ignore this and send me an invitation anyway, I will block communications with you.

The only game that could possibly be considered "milking" is possibly Halo Wars, but it also provided a nice piece of storyline that many enjoyed.

Reach, however, follows the story before the events of Combat Evolved which is something I have wanted since I first read the novel "Fall of Reach". It most certainly isn't milking.

I don't think people realize how big of a franchise Halo actually is. It isn't the standard title that should be dropped after a certain amount of games, in my opinion. Halo is a classic, and as long as they explore the important details of the universe, I will continue to purchase the games, and I know that so many others will as well. It is a classic, and I think it has earned (and continues to bolster) its place in the video game Hall of Fame alongside other classics of olde.

its not as milking as the CoD milking. that is gonna go on forever. it has milked it all out of the World Wars. I believe that they really arnt milking it as much as they could. to be honest they could keep "milking" this series for years and i would still buy the games.

"Die? Didn't you know? Spartans never die."

As everyone said. Bungie needs a ROFLCopter. Where are they gonna get the money to buy a ROFLCopter? From us. We get more Halo, they get money. We all win.

Oh yeah, I don't consider it milking unless the games suck, but they just keep putting Halo on the box. *cough*Mario*cough*

Has anyone been informed that the books are substandard fodder targeted at a very specific demographic?

And that the storyline of this videogame is actually quite cliched and lackluster?

Have you been informed that very, very few people in this very, VERY large community actually care?

I've stopped caring about franchises getting milked. If I don't want it, I don't buy it. But if someone else wants it, hey, good for them. If a new instalment in the series looks good, I might give it a go.
