Subject: Halo 3 ODST appropriate title?

Am I the only one who thinks they should call it Halo:Odst? Omitting the 3? Now I'm not being nit picky here, its just a simple wondering I had. What do you guys think?

Seeing as how Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST are being ran on the same game engine, I don't see it as being completely illogical. Halo Reach, another upcoming game, will be on a different game engine, or at least slightly modified, to where it does not have compatible networking capabilities with the previous games. Much like if you were to say you could connect Halo 2 and Halo 3 directly to each other. Do you get what I'm saying? Hopefully it made sense...

The AR is an awesome weapon, RESPECT IT AS SUCH!!!

not a problem with the titel, seeing as its an expansion on the halo:3 game,( a prequel that is)

i personally think that it should be called halo:ODST or halo 2:ODST seeing as its based on a team of ODST searching the remains of a city (new mombassa) which is an early campaign mission in halo 2.

Spartans are from Venus and Elites are from Uranus

No, I think it's appropriate. The game uses the Halo 3 engine and includes Halo 3's entire competitive multiplayer.

the engine has nothing to do with it, all the halos are made on a highly modified havok engine anyway.

they could call it anything they want, it just so happens that they need a newly modified engine everytime they make a new halo game (odst: is the exception) the game is basically called halo 3 odst because it was meant to be an "expansion". i think it should be called halo: ODST to signify a full game.

How can it be an expansion when it has a new campaign and new heros??? An expansion is with the same hero and a new campaign.

You get Halo 3 and ODST so it makes sense.

It should be called Halo: Rookie Holmes Case of the Missing ODST... but that's just my opinion.
