I heard that they couldn't handle 720p only 480p but i that could easily change.

Yeah uh can someone explain what those numbers mean? I'm getting HD-ready TV soon but before I do I'd like to ask which is better (among those numbers) I'm assuming the higher ones the best?

From Bungie's Halo 2 FAQ:

Q: Will Halo 2 support HDTV resolutions like 720p or 1080i?

A: In addition to supporting normal television resolutions, Halo 2 will run in 480p resolution when connected to an HDTV.

Genrally, but not in all cases, the higher the resolution, the better your picture will be. If you're going to get an HD-ready TV, it should support all, some don't except 720p, HD resolutions. If you want 720p resolution support, I would highly suggest going with a Sony modle HDTV.

Actually, here's a link to an affordable Sony model that just hit the market. It's a Sony 30 inch HD-ready widescreen modle that supports all HD resolutions. CLICK HERE

HERE is a Samsung 30 inch HD-ready widescreen model that is on sale for $799 at Circuit City. I'm not sure about all the features, but you're not going to find a better price than this.

NOTE: The reason the price is so low on this Samsung is because they are phasing it out before the newer model comes out. The newer model should match the prices and specs of the SONY model I talked about above. If it's not already out, it should be out with in the next few weeks.
