It just occurred to me. That since all the DLC will be included on the ODST disc. It'll never go on your harddrive. Meaning that if you wish to get the full 1750 on Halo 3, you need to buy the DLC regardless if you have ODST or not.

Can someone please prove me wrong?

You can play multiplayer off ODST so you can use all of the maps and do not need to buy them again. No need to use that old Halo 3 disk again.

we'll call it a draw

i already have all the available map packs, and i payed for all of them. now when i buy odst they are included, therefore, by buying odst, i have payed for the dlc twice :(

Apparently somebody doesn't appreciate anything nowadays. Something new comes out, and the old game is thrown out.

Wow buddy. If I still had my Halo 1 disc I'd be playing that campaign.

I DO have Halo:CE and play it, but thats because i enjoy the campaign, I've completed Halo3 on legendary, got all skulls etc, but it just isn't that fun you know?
Everything i use on the Halo 3 disk will be transferred over to ODST so I'm not complaining. So i don't see how my opinion on one game (and its sub-par campaign) affects how i treat anything. I still have my NES catridges and no working NES for Christ sakes

The really good part of it? Is that if you are having fun while posting well and enjoying your time here, not only is your trust rating improving (and the title as a result), you begin to realize/understand that the REAL reward isn't a title or a colored banner. The real reward is that you're actually enjoying your time here and your interaction with other members of the community. -Recon Number 54

I know that the Multiplayer is included in ODST. But ODST has seperate achievements to Halo 3. You can't unlock one games achievements in another. So how could we boot up Halo 3 and access the maps in Halo 3, thus allowed us to unlock the final vidmaster?
The only way I can see is we can only get the ODST multiplayer achievements and wait for it to be released as DLC so its on our hard drive and Halo 3 will recognise it and we can get the achievements in that.
