I'm just wondering if this is "the new hawtness" talked about or is there another, non-Halo game also in the works? Bungie has talked about their next big game after ODST and is Reach it or not?

It's probaly this. i remember them saying they had 3 projects under way a few months ago, and if all is revealed that would be:

Halo 3: Mythic Map Pack
Halo 3: ODST
Halo: Reach

I don't think the Mythic Maps count as a "project" underway, especially considering at least Assembly was totally finished waaaay back at PAX 08. I think there's one team at Bungie working on something that's not Halo related.

As far as I understand, the "three projects" are:
Halo 3: ODST
Halo: Reach
An as-yet-unannounced non-Halo game.

True. Now that I think about it having the -blam!- beat out of you with a pool ball in a tube sock by your degenerate pimp is the better choice.

.

They want to become a multi-game developing studio. I guarantee they are working on a completely new IP behind the scenes.
