Are you guys seriously asking if HALO: Reach is after HALO 3?

LMAO!

HALO: Reach is the book, "HALO: The Fal of Reach"! It's before HALO: CE! It's around when the Masterchief was training to become what he is.

Notice the "Falls 2010"? Meaning it's coming out on Fall 2010, and Reach "Falls"! "the fall of reach." duh!

People come alive now.

Most of us know that. It's possible that Chief had warped to "Glassed" Reach after the portal collapsed.

Child Please

The story told through the halo trilogy claims Chief is the only surviving Spartan. The rest of the Spartans died defending the planet Reach, days before the events of Halo C.E. They clearly say "we've got Spartans (as in more than one) on the ground".

The book, Halo: The Fall of Reach, tells the story of the Spartans defending the planet from the on ground invasion forces of the covenant looking for some buried artifacts. The planet gets glassed. In the book, all but a few Spartans were killed. The surviving Spartans embarked on their own mission, whereas the Chief engaged in the events of Halo C.E.

Also, in the legendary ending, it is claimed that they are out of radio contact of UNSC forces due to being so far out in the middle of no where. Reach was the dead-center of the UNSC defense system, just outside of Earth's system. They'd be in radio contact if they were floating around by Reach.

It's not really symbolism.... because they actually showed Reach at the end of H3... there's no time warping or anything like that. We just didn't know what planet we were looking at then.... now we know it's Reach in PRESENT DAY.... Hence ALLUDING TO their next game Halo: Reach. Confirmed Today by what could only be speculation before.

This guy knows his stuff... come on people!

Anyone notice the "Falls 2010"? It means that the game may be out on Fall 2010, AND that's when it falls. As in, "The 'Fall' of Reach"

It's a prequel to HALO: CE guys, come on. you guys can't be seriously asking if the MC got transported to "Glassed Reach". Even in the trailer it shows when the first attacks started. And there are mutliple Spartans there.

IT'S THE FALL OF REACH PEOPLE!

Stfu. Anyways it most likely is. And for some reason people out there were RETARDED and didn't think Bungie would make another game EVEN THOUGH the legendary ending totally showed that there would be a new game. I mean, MASTER CHIEF FLOATING TOWARDS A MYSTERIOUS PLANET. WOW, I DOUBT THAT WILL CONTINUE.

All I have to say really is; I knew it. And I'm god damn happy about it.
It most likely isnt. Use your brain for a sec before calling someone retarded. I havent read the books, yet I know already, there was a UNSC Planet or something called Reach. Most likely there. Also, if you listen to the dialogue in the Halo: Reach trailer, you hear them saying about Spartans being on ground. Around the time of Halo 3, isnt MC the last Spartan?. Everyone knew more games would be made, just not continuing the story of the ark, thats what Halo 3 finished you idiot.

it looks simalar but its not Reach that chief is drifting towards

ODST Romeo

People type like they're in 3rd grade on this forum. The trailer says something along the lines of, "You know the end before it starts" so this is a prequel. Plus, why the hell would they have combat chatter is the planet is already glassed, and if there was a game on Reach after it was glasses...please tell me what you would even fight?

My Grunty claws will STING!

He's gone, thank the nipple!

I thought so... but then remembered that in the Legendary Ending, we see the ship that Master Chief was on heading towards it. And I just thought of something while typing this. Is Halo Reach the return of Master Chief? Now I know there is that cast shot with the Spartans, but maybe it is a flashback by Master Chief. He could definetly be in this one. I'm glad ODST is coming because I cannot wait until 2010!

---------------------------------------------

Despite what I just said, I don't know, and there is a good argument against this. I suppose we will just have to wait to find out, but in that case, what is the Legendary Ending Teasing???

Light up the dark, give all or give nothing at all.

ADRUNKENM3XICAN,
"nope reach is the planet where the master chief was posted at before halo:ce we will be seing more spartans for sure on this upcoming game lets just hope its not another halo wars :("

This is true in the trailer they say "we have spartains on the ground" key word being "spartains" plural (more than one). so it is most likely a halo wars setting and enviornment.

Are you more than you?

Reach came way before halo 3. Read ghosts of onyx I believe onyx is the forerunner made planet the chief floats toward in the legendary ending. Also I don't believe Reach will be a halo wars type game due to the master chief being present and clearly the leader during the reach mission. To get more info on what reach may be about you should read halo: the fall of reach it is the best of the halo novels and is directly correlated to the game.

Armor Lock isn't overpowered. You just suck at Reach :)

Reach isn't bad, you're just a BK :)

For my gamertag, look up "Ghoulishtie"

oh for...

Its back before H1!!! That is not the same planet!

The Risk Is Worth The Reward.
Cry Havoc And Let Slip The Dogs Of War.

No the events of Reach happend before Halo CE. I think we will be seeing that planet in some later game.

ODST and Reach will be awesome!!!

While it may look like it, the possibility of the Halo 3 ending planet being Reach is very small, unless John did a little time travel (which is also a small yet possible possibility).

I agree. it is possible but if you read Halo: The Fall of Reach, master chief is already on reach fighting the covenant.

Plausible.

"There's daggers in men's smiles." - Donalbain, Macbeth, Act II, scene iii

If anyone has read the book The Fall of Reach, you would know what is going on. I can clear up a few of these question because I have read ALL the Halo books and know the Halo story very intimately.
No, it is not the same planet shown at the end of the Halo 3 game.
The story that will take place in Halo: Reach is before Halo 3.
If you haven't read the book The Fall of Reach I would highly reccommend you do so. If you do you'll already know what the outcome of Halo: Reach will be.

Yes, it would be best if everyone reads Halo: The Fall of Reach, before any more impossible speculations come up.
