what would your perfect Halo: Reach be?

Mine would be:

FPS as a normal soldier part of a Squad similar to ODST but a full campaign.
Same Weapons but a few tweaks and a couple of new weapons added
Flood in the campaign
Long 10-15 hour campaign

Multiplayer with playable as a Spartan, Elite or Brute plus ODST But ODST is weaker than the other 3 types but has silenced weapons.
New plylist gametypes e.g something like Search and Destroy in COD
Hybrid gametypes such as Infection/VIP
New set of 20 maps with a view to more downloadable content
More customisation for player models
More emblems
Better Forge system including Delete, rotate 90degrees and undo options plus a snapper
More objects
update to theater

Firefight included with the game


What would you like?

What would I need for Halo: Reach to be perfect?

1. Spartan standard is back to MJOLNIR Mark V.

2. Bungie gathers some foresight and makes their armour permutations something that they can add onto in future updates and downloads. Honestly, how did they not anticipate the fans wanting more?

3. Elites, if they are in multiplayer, getting decent armour types. More spikes and fewer mandible-guards. There's a reason people pick Combat the most.

4. All the weapons in Halo 2 and 3 are brought into the game's sandbox, including Brute Plasma Rifle and Gold Sentinal Beam. Also would be nice: having every variation of gun be an option for custom maps (M6D Pistol included. Don't have to put it IN any official map layouts, but the option is nice).

5. A map editor that can also be a map maker. This is simply the same as forge, except with a choice of item skins (a small list, maybe three or four options per map) and the ability to hit the B-button to Undo the last monitor-based change you made to the map.

6. For the online multiplayer, the ability to enter it in two modes; Matchmaking and Server (like Half-Life). That way, you can join random folks who are playing their custom varients.

7. Augmentation of the model-movement as it is to become auto-reactive; if you are hit by an explosion, you go tumbling and you end up righting yourself without clicking any buttons -- but you are clearly using arms and legs and motions in-game to right yourself. Akin to Assassin's Creed and Mirror's Edge have the auto-climb movements.

8. The ability to toggle dual-wielding swords, or simply the ability to dual-wield swords (removes lunging option).

A bunch more, but you asked what would make it perfect. I don't think it'll be perfect. Pretty darn good, though.

No Elites in Halo 3: ODST = FAIL

Bungie focuses more on the campaign....... Thinks of this as a restart for the franchise, I don't want another Halo that plays just like the others, I want an evolution and a greater move set.

If the Flood are added into the battle of Reach I'm quitting. Anyone with any respect for canon would hate it.

1. Improved Forge. We need some form of auto-placement feature that we can toggle of and on, its nice that we can place a wall at a 37* angle, but mostly it makes placing that wall perfectly straight an aggravating event. An undo feature would be nice, but isn't the highest on the list of priorities

2. The option to play as a Spartan, Elete, Brute, or ODST in multiplayer. New armor models need to be introduced with the map packs.

3. A story line along the lines of Halo:Reach picking up where Halo:3 left off, master chief landing on reach (assuming that planet at the end is reach) , finding 4-5 living spartans, and an ending evolving the Brute High Chieftain (not sure what the actual name for him is, think it starts with a T), the flood, and at least 2 scarabs.

4. More weapons, we don't really need them now, but it would be nice to have a bit more variety added.

Same engine and HUD, no Flood, lots of new multiplayer maps, a new ranking system would be interesting, new medals and pelicans. Pelican fights. Against Scarabs. No, carrier fights.
