Volenti Nil Difficile - To the Willing Nothing Is Difficult

On every retailers website it says ODST will be 59.99. Now I'm not complaining I would be more than willing to pay that for it but didn't Bungie say that because it was just an expansion that it wouldn't be priced the same as a full game?

I assume that it is a guess. I love ODST, but I would not be willing to pay 50$ for it, I would have to ebay it for 30.

Also on gamestop.com it says that the pre-order will be shipped 09/01/2009

These hands you see before you will end the light of day. Your ashes will be cast into the wind! Your blood's upon the soil, your body fed to wolves, not one of you will be left alive...!

Hand of Doom by Manowar

Think about it this way. The people who bought all the DLC will pay for it twice because the price for all the DLC is included in the price for Halo 3 : ODST and that's not fair at all. I wouldn't pay 59,99 for a new campaign... with all the maps I would but I already paid for them.

  • 06.01.2009 2:01 PM PDT

That might not be the actual price they probably havent discussed the price yet so they just put that on until then

  • 06.01.2009 2:01 PM PDT

I'm not really that concerned for the price, given the fact that I paid/wasted $90 for Halo Wars.

But it has a 5 hour campaign, 3 new maps, and 1 new gametype.

I really hope it doesn't cost $60, because it should not be that high for an expansion.

For all your Hoggin' needs.

Have you not been awake for the past couple of hours?

Because if you have here's what you missed:

-Firefight, a mode similar to GoW 2's Horde
-A multiplayer Beta for Halo:Reach
-Pre-oder copies of ODST will get Sgt. Johnson as a playable character for Firefight
-A Magnum with a scope, which I would pay anything for

That's in addition to:

-The ODST Campaign
-A chance of getting Recon
-The other Mythic maps (Citadel,Heretic and Longshore)

And for $59.99 that seems like a good deal.Clearly this is more than an expansion.

im awesome

firefight mode is a good enough reason to buy it for me

  • 06.01.2009 2:08 PM PDT

dude you get the game all of the maps a halo:reach multiplayer beta i mean its well worth it

My Grunty claws will STING!

He's gone, thank the nipple!

Now games cost $65. That's $5 Cheaper!

Actually, I don't think Bungie originally planned to make ODST this big, but they just kept adding more, and so it's now $60.

Check out the group, Planet Reach and talk about Bungie's next game without the annoyance of the public forum. Oh and it's nice there too.

You thought you had lag, it took Jesus 3 days to re-spawn.

@ ProAznsoul

I agree completely (except I'm not as crazy excited as you about the pistol). It's shaping up to be much more than a simple campaign expansion. This is looking just as good as most full games.

And that's saying something, because before today, I was worried that the price point was a little high. Now, I'm more than willing to pay that.
