After reviewing the trailer, project page and some of the posts people have made, I have come to a few conclusions on what the multiplayer experience, specifically Firefight mode, will be like.

Feel free to post here if you have something to offer and I will try to add it to the list of ideas.

To start off, let's try to clarify what the Firefight experience will be. Many have already equated it to Call of Duty: World at War's -blam!- Zombie mode. I think this is a fair assessment in that it will consist of wave after wave of increasingly larger and better armed Covenant enemies. You and your squad must fend them off for as long as possible.

As apparent from the new trailer, terminals will be making an [important] reappearance in the form of Custodian access points. These could easily be transferred to the MP experience in the way of equipment drops (ala chalk on the wall or the magic random crate in COD).

Skulls will also be making a comeback in the form of unique gameplay modifiers. At 1:14 in the new trailer, one can see on the left side of the HUD a column of symbols. The clover seems to be highlighted (activated?) but you can still notice that some of the others bear a striking resemblance to the symbols of skulls past. That their status is so readily available also suggests that the play may be able to turn them on and off while the game is going on.

It has already discovered (sorry I don't have the credit link) in two image file names, that there may in fact me multiple Firefight levels to chose from.

If one takes a look at the banner under the Firefight Features tab, you may notice the ODST holding the mini-gun has a slightly different helmet than the other two. This suggests further armor permutations or even upgradable tech (increased sight zoom or targeting system perhaps?).

That's all I can think of for now, I'll try to update if I think of anything or if anyone else has a good idea.
