There is a certain point of tolerance that should never be reached.
First of all it is important to understand that this is a spoiler to many of the (In my opinion) best plotlines in the Halo universe. Those of you who haven't read/played through the respective books/games and do not wish to have spoiled please leave this page.
Also please not my grammer is boarderline offensive.
Otherwise.
Here is my crackpot theory to how this all fits.
I think that Reach is the planet that the MC and Cortana arrive at.
I also belive that it is a Forerunner Shield World.
I believe that the Spartans inside of the Onyx shield world will find a way our and make it to reach.
I'd like to point out a few things.
Such as the fact that one of the figures in the group image looks like a Sangheli.
*cough Thel Vadamee cough*
or the fact that nobody had time to explore the ruins on reach.
Why would Bungie rehash an old plotline?
Granted , The Fall of Reach is epic.
But it is honestly a footnote compared to some of the (sadly limited) battles we have read about the Spartans.
Why not make a Sigma Octanus IV battle?
Assalt a city, do some recon, play as both teams, end in a nuke?
It could be because there is more to Reach than we first knew.
If reach is another forerunner world ( and there is no evidence to prove it is not that I know of ) Why couldn't blue team come back to Reach?
There were Forerunner Relics on it.
It is very difficult to discredit the fact that the Forerunner were on Reach.
Halo Wars proves the existance of multiple Shield Worlds
My theory is that there are 7 Halos and 7 Shield worlds.
My brain is on fire at the excitement.
So I can't think clearly.
So here is what I am saying in a nutshell.
Reach is a shieldworld that Cheif will arrive at and meet up with blue team.
I think the game will be set at first with the fall of reach and the pick up Halo 3.
If not.
I am still Psyched at a new Halo experience.
I am personally very greatful for Bungie no matter what.
I don't think Halo will get old very soon.
