Fred was born with a pigeon's wing. people never made fun of him, though. one day he looked in the mirror and saw that HE WAS A PIDGEON! he pooped right there as he often did, wherever he was.

I think it would be neat for Bungie to somehow add in something like the building "Hotel Zanzibar" or you see a glimpse of the Chief jumping on the scarab. What do you think?

Keep it classy Flood.

Maybe the end of the Halo 2 campaign. It'd be pretty epic to hear "Sir, finishing this fight," at the end of ODST.

Never mettle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and good with ketchup.

It would be a nice touch, but it's highly unlikely. From what I can tell, the entire story takes place on Earth after the Chief has left, but before Halo 3 starts.

I know i was kinda hoping for a level where you drive an AI controlled MC around on a mongoose with a rocket launcher, that would of been epic.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but they already are? They showed gameplay of the bridge, which was something you were on in Halo 2. granted, it's after the slipspace, but the same.

Unless you mean will you see a halo2/3 event as it happens, which maybe.

Yea, But half the game is about "flashbacks" so you could very well be fighting alongside chief.

Today isn't your day.

Tomorrow isn't looking too good either.

The events of ODST will be unique - the "story" only takes place over the course of 6 hours; the "game" will end well before anything in Halo 3 occurs.

Thought about that. A truly "give-you-goosebumps" moment. I'm sure we're going to see a lot of VERY similar environments from Halo 2. Honestly, the trailer reminded me of teh Halo 2 shown at E3 '04

No - the Chief has left before any of the flashbacks take place.

Glory to Jesus Christ

I'm hoping that a small portion of the open wold map will be a "new" version of Outskirts and Metropolis, probably with some areas you can no longer access and some new ones, as a callback to Halo 2. So I think there is a good chance we'll see old Halo 2 locations in ODST, but actually seeing Halo 2 events? No, the only one we'll see is the Covenant ship leaving New Mombasa.

I am the Carpet man they talk about... I jump from star to star, I walk it out.

Well, judging by the trailer, the ODST's arrive right as Regret (and the Chief) leaves Earth.

So unless Master Chief can be in two places at once, no.
