In this article, it mentions the new Xbox 360 NATAL system being implemented in Halo 3: ODST, and possibly Halo: Reach. This will make playing Halo WAYYYY more awesome.

What do you guys think?

Hopefully it's optional and works as well as they say.

  • 06.01.2009 3:41 PM PDT

Read it again, it doesn't actually say they will be using it.

  • 06.01.2009 3:42 PM PDT

on G4 they interviewed the guy who was on satge during the natal announement. He said that it WILL NOT be relesed in 2009, so no it will not be featured in ODST.

Do none of you have a sense of humour?
We do, this just isn't funny.

Am I missing something, but where does it say natal is for Halo?

Not at the release but later on probably.

The only time the word "halo" appears in that article, it's just mentioning that new trailers were released for ODST and Reach. You're just inferring here, none of this was even hinted at in the article.

Read the article again.

Geez, dude, from the look of Natal, there's still a lot of ground-work to be laid down. The Avatars didn't even work with it.

If ODST is going to use Natal, it would have to have been done from the very beginning. And seeing as ODST is essentially just using Halo 3's engine, there's no way that Natal will ever be incorporated into it.

Stop linking two totally unrelated announcements together.

yes and then we can all sit around our 360's pointing our fingers and shouting bang.
I can't really see it working with this type of game its just a lure to get a chunk of the market back out of nintendo's tightly closed hands.

yes plus they really made it sound like NATAL isnt ready to be released anytime soon, if anything it would incorperated Halo:Reach because they're likely to have similar release dates.

Monkey see, Monkey shoot.

Terry Pratchet - The Best.

You do relize that Natal is barely completed, the E3 vid was a mockup pretty much.

And I admit i am doubtful about it, not because they have suddenly got past the voice identification issues but..... Peter Molenuex was selling it......

And after Fable 2......well....everything out of his mouth is LIES....

No. Absolutely NOT.

First off, I can't see it working as well as it looks. Secondly, Halo requires movement of some sort. Seeing as how it's camera operated, you are limited in depth.

I'm not seeing this working for Halo in ANY way shape or form.

yup likely NATAL will only work for a certain small niche of games, halo would not be one of them. and as for how you can use it to navigate the menus seems basically useless...is it really that hard to use the D-pad on the controller?

There was nothing of the sort.

NATAL can't be implemented. Halo has strafing. And the mere fact that you can't strafe on a limited camera means that NATAL won't be in Halo.

So here's some advice. Hookers. You give them your money. they give you a few moments of happiness. Then you go home. The way it was meant to be. Posted by: Blackbird42
Actually I listened to the audio and he said something about the body rewarding social interaction because is was necessary to survive... well so was the appendix, and now all the appendix does is explode and kill you.

If that's true, I'll crap myself.

Your friendly neighborhood Spyderman

I'm Christian =)

Even if it isn't for Halo, it will hopefully be better than Eyetoy on playstation.

Does NOT say that it will be implemented. Get hard facts first before getting hopes up please.
