What if the game takes you threw the events leading up to reach in the spartains lifes so technily sam would be "alive for a little while" and it could be blue team after all

Recruitment threads results in me not joining. All they consist of is copy and paste and sticking your name in it. Have a nice day.

I'm all for making friends, not enemies. You can find me on the Halo 3 Community Forums mostly. I love to help others, so if you have a question or having trouble with something, message me. I will join if your group pops out to me or interests me. My old GamerTag is Black St33l if you are confused who this is. Thanks for reading!

May I remind people that Bungie never said this game was a prequal. While we've all come to simply assume it, if the master chief really is going to reach at the end of Halo 3, then couldn't this simply be where we left off? Could that be Arby on the side simply fighting with the spartans? Maybe now that the Humans have pushed the covenant out of the Halo rings, maybe they wanna take back which was once rightfully theirs in the universe. As for the other characters maybe they are spartans. Maybe not. If you look at it from a completely different perspective at the end of Halo 3 almost every main character that fights in the game dies except Arby and the Chief. Thus, maybe the spartans meet up where they once let off.

Or maybe it really is a prequel. Just trying to get the minds a sterring =-)

Why must you torture us so!?

From the left they are Sam Kelly Master Chief Fred and Linda.
Now my reasons for this are that Sam was the biggest spartan standing at alt least a head taller than Master Chief. Kelly Just sort of fits in with the other ones. The one in the middle just looks like Master Chief. In the books Fred specialized in combat knives and in the picture he is holding a knife. Finally Linda was a sniper.
I agree completely.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

Then what weapon is "Sam" holding? It looks like a massive machinegun.

To prevent miscommunication, let's not call him "Sam", since Sam died at 14. I say we call him "Hulk" :P.

sorry bud-but there were only 150 children canadiates for spartan 2 class and they chose 75- and 38 or so of that 75 survived the operation to become spartans

I'll say it again:

Posted by: Dream053
That's not necessarily true, though. We honestly don't know how many subjects were originally considered for the project. Dr. Halsey visited John and inspected his abilities first hand. Who is to say that she or operatives under her employ didn't do the same, and determine that certain candidates were not right for the program? Just because there were only 150 children originally chosen for the project doesn't mean that there wasn't a larger pool to choose from. As we know, John was designated "Number 117" before he was even conscripted, so it is very possible that this Spartan did make it into the group under these circumstances.

We don't know how many candidates for the project there actually were. There 150 chosen subjects, but only funding for half that. During the selection process, there could easily have been 500 for all we know.

Okay I just watch the trailer again and it says "From the begining. You Know The End" Then you hear a voice that says "are birds going down" which leads me to belive this in fact follows the story of the fall of reach because when fred brings the spartains down in the pelicans and they get hit and since its said you know the end so it may be refurring to us knowing about the book story line. What do you guys think?

There were 150 that matched the genetic profile they were after. The second class (somewhat used in ilovebees, but gods know how much of that was considered remotely canon) was conscripted at 6 in 2537, I think it was, so they would have been ready by 2551, but as far as I know only 25 Spartans were present on Reach according to canon, all Spartan IIs.

Perhaps the figure on the left is one of the Spartans in the prototype armor that they wear while testing under the mountain at reach.

dude, sam was dead long before the battle of reach

They act all big and tough when their on camera with their friends and their guns. But when you break into their house in the middle of the night and stick a gun barrel in their face. They cry like babies and and piss their pants.

I Love Bees was "embraced as canon", so I'm pretty sure enough of it fit the bill. Yasmine, as far as I know, is the only confirmed subsequent wave of Spartan-IIs, and to be honest with you, I doubt they would introduce that.

Honestly, I think he was simply part of a larger pool of selection that made the 150 cut, and then the 75 cut.

I think the tall one is an elite that turns into the arbiter

the elites are still evil in halo 1 so they have to be evil before halo 1 so that cant be the arbiter... sorry

Dude I don't care and my grammer is perfect.I used "Big", as you recall it to mak is specific."to not do...",is incorrect beause "do" is present tense/perfect(or future) when it was a past tense.

The far left could be an Elite. A Covenant separtist, maybe? They did exist before the Great Schism, albeit in very few numbers. It's definitely not Thel 'Vadam(ee), as he was a covenant loyalist until about halfway through Halo 2.

The silhouettes are really the ODST Squad from Halo 3:ODST because at a part in the ODST trailer, spray painted on a wall is REMEMBER REACH

Ahhh! can't believe they took it out of the dictionary ....and NO I'm not coming out of my shell untill you get that THING off my avatar

I thought the one on the lleft was an elite as well.
However, look a tthe knees of the "elite" and the figure in the center. Both figures have the same wing like shapes coming our of their knees. So, one might assume theire wearing the same armor.
