Subject: Can ODSTs Really Rip Turrets Off?

On the new News page for ODST, there is an image showing a Trooper holding a turret like a Spartan does. I understand that ODSTs are "teh 1337z", but can they REALLY rip the turret off of its stand and wield it like a chaingun? I thought only Spartans were strong enough to do that.

ODST: Strong enough to rip a turret off it's hinge, but not strong enough to duel-wield.

No they can't, but someone doesn't read the books. The person who came up with the ODSTs in the game.

And that doesn't compete to the fact that Spartans were loaded with heaps of bio-augmenting drugs?

Why are you reading my signature? Who actually opens these things and reads them!

And as always, SEND ME A PM. Please. Or really bad things will happen to you.

Maybe because they are an "elite" squad of ODST's they are stronger and more like Spartans?

I can only please one person per day.

Today isn't your day.

Tomorrow isn't looking too good either.

Fun Fact: The Turrets aren't actually part of the base stand, but rather two different parts (the base and the gun) put togther. I imagine it would be a rather simple process to unlock it, or to pull it off in a hurry.

We've already seen that Marines and ODSTs can lug the fully assembled turret around (in all three games too, mind you) - its not that much of a stretch to have them carry just the turret part around.

SPARTANS just rip it off in that flashy way because they can't be bothered with things like "locks" or "latches".

As a great man has said before "..." That is where the truth lies my friends

From What I saw, these aren't your normal marines, seeing as how normal marines can't weild Brute Shots(or ODSTs for that matter), but it showed the option to pick it up in the game demo that was played at E3, so probably so, All they did was make it so you are a Marine, but with the same core gameplay.
