Subject: Is the one on the far left a spartan or an elite (new arby)+Other t...

Ohey guys :)

It looks like an Elite in Arbiter armor, I don't understand why more people can't see this...the thing on his left shoulder sticks out exactly like the shoulder plate on the Arbiter's armor in Halo 2/3. Plus, he is very hunched over, just like an elite is. And, he's 8 feet tall easy. The figure in the middle only looks taller because he/she is slightly more forward than the others.

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My money is on Spartan 3s with a few ODSTs.

We should know better, because we are better.

Going from far left:
Far left silihoute:???
Left of center: Kelly
Center: John
Right:???
Far right:Linda
These are just my assumptions.

Cave Johnson here, we're done!

PS: If you are reading this comment while imagining my voice, don't panic. That's just a side effect of the testing.

That would be Sam, he was a head taller than the chief and liked high explosives, common to someone who likes big weapons as that may be a chaingun he is holding.

These 5 depict the spartan team that the Master Chief preferred. The far left is Sam, next is kelly who is an incredibly fast runner and is used as a "rabbit", next is the chief himself wielding an Assault rifle, as to which variant is unsure. Then after the chief is fred, he is holding a Knife which is probably the same one as he had in the book. Finally the one on the far left is linda, their sniper. She is an incredible shot, but I believe she died or almost died and was healed later.

So that's who they are, and what their specialties are. No Sam is not an elite.

Trust me, this is all based on reach, so the spartan team which was common in the book is this team of 5. This might also suggest that in campaign you finally get to play with other spartans from the story line.

The "Arby" we know and love wasn't the arbiter at this point!!! I don't even think the arbiter in Halo Wars was an arbiter back then!!!
The halo wars arbiter was killed at the end of halo wars. Sorry for spoilers.

I say it's an arbiter, maybe the one that led the assault on the towers to get the MACs offline?
the next one to the right is a marine
the middle one is a Spartan II
the middle right character could be a spartan or an ODST (god forbid it be a forerunner)
and the last guy is an ODST for sure, you can see a backpack similar to what "the rookie" has on his (or her) back, plus the helmet looks like an ODST helmet from the side.

Long live the Last Refuge!

Mark I and Mark II were really bulky, so they can't be wearing Mark I or II. Mark III were rejected quickly after they were made... If they are wearing any armor, it's definetally Mark IV. Not Mark V or VI; I don't think those were around yet....

SPARTANs never used any Mark below IV since all the other ones were to bulky for combat use. There is no way it is a elite though since the elites were proud warriors of the covenant all the way till the battle of Installation-05.

They act all big and tough when their on camera with their friends and their guns. But when you break into their house in the middle of the night and stick a gun barrel in their face. They cry like babies and and piss their pants.
-U.S. Delta force operator on the Taliban.

It CANT be the Arbiter, at this point an Elite would NEVER side with the humans. And the sniper ont he right cant be Linda, she was with the MC when she got mortally wounded and the Pillar of Autumn jumped from the system with the MC and Linda.

This guys is probably right, he knows his stuff.
Extra info though:
-It could be linda as this game is going to be set before she was injured.
-Also It will likely be the first MA5 assault rifle from Halo: CE

Sam was already dead before reach.
And there's no way its an elite. Elites don't side with humans in the battle of reach.

Sam was dead before the book, this game may take place from another attack on Reach which Sam was alive for.
But it's not like there was a shortage of spartans to choose from before the fall of Reach.

  • 06.01.2009 6:23 PM PDT

I don't think anyone is suggesting that an Elite would side with the UNSC at this point in the war. I think the logo is just some assorted characters and not suggesting any kind of allegiance between them.

The silhouette on the far left is ambiguous, but I'm thinking it's a Spartan.

There never was another attack on Reach.
It was just the one cumulative battle that ended with Reach falling, The pillar of Autumn fleeing and most of the Spartans being killed. But quite a few made it out alive.

Quinton876

Well idk. . . . . i'm guessing it's a spartan.
