Good day. I'm an active and fairly enthusiastic member of the Bungie fan-base and pride myself on many qualities. If you want to send me a PM, go right ahead. No I won't spam your inbox with group invites, I will respond in the best way possible. Thank you, and as I had opened, I'll close - good day.

I was reading through the "Field Guide" at the ODST page and came across this paragraph in the Brute info page:

They are fearless, vicious opponents and must not be underestimated. Currently, they fill the command role that Elites occupied previously. Whether or not this is indicative of a power shift within the Covenant is of no consequence to the current operation. ANYTHING that seeks to obstruct the successful completion of your mission is a legitimate target.

The last sentence was what particularly intrigued me. The blatant draw of attention to the word "anything" caused me to think of what "anything" might ensue. The first thing that of course came to mind were enemies, but then I thought of allies. This lead me to believe that Bungie might have been hinting that someone in the unit or just someone in UNSC might not be trustworthy/might be planning something against the "mission". Now, I might be going to far into this, but what do you guys think?

It would be interesting to see if rebels are present on Earth screwing things up even with the Covenant right there. Though there's no telling if they even exist anymore since they were a faction that existed in many of the various colonies (of which are now glassed). The most obvious choice for an antagonistic human would probably be Ackerson, but even then his behavior of trying to get in the way of the Spartans doesn't translate into getting in the way of the defense of humanity as a whole. Even then, it doesn't matter since he's been captured and was being tortured for information around the events of Halo 2 leading up to 3.

Course...there' always the possibility of Superintendent going rampant...

People want to be remembered. The only difference is why. Some want to be remembered for being kind, brave, or daring. I chose to be legendary. I am a myth, a story, a ghost, someone who doesn't exist. You have wronged me, and you shall die. Check the shadows for the end is imminent. Good day!

Perhaps the superintendent is working for both sides.

Master Chief destroy's earth lololololol no just kidding... might be the chick though the one with the uber reconZZZz since in most games the female character is the one who is evil like in Mirrors Edge

i would not be surprised if she turns out to be a wily temptress

It's the red faction.

Now really i won't assume anything until i get the game.

The best group for fan-fics ever made!
wanna be part of the Wrath?
arguments turn into battles and battles turn into wars, dismantle the arguments and everything is fine.

Since Dare has no info on her, she might be an ONI Spook and is trying to find something in Alpha base. This would only make sense if the base was a main strory element though.

Everyone is thinking that Dare is a betrayer, as she called the ODST's to drop and yet, the ship goes through slipspace and the ODST's get knocked off course. I think she just needed a way to get the ODST's and Commanders to listen to her and go though with her plan without telling them the truth. Just a white lie, sort of. I think that someone else will betray, everything about Dare could be just a trick to keep the community from getting the answer.
