And Halo is definitely not close to earth. You're a bigger idiot.
It's not one of the rings!!!
Gamertag: Sephirothazule
I took it to be just a regular ring like Saturn's rings. There was no Halo next to Reach in the books....so yeah.
One of the first 20 to beat Halo 3 on Mythic (Solo Legendary All Skulls On), in the later half I'm guessingI notice time that light has reflection for, like the rainy magic of nobody else on a lovely day.
It doesn't look like a Halo ring, though. From that angle you should be able to see its geographic features, not the backside of it. Which is what it seems more like to me.The shape/angle doesn't work I think I'm trying to say. Whatev. Interesting find regardless.[Edited on 06.01.2009 6:03 PM PDT]
Posted by: Coyote032Have you heard of Saturn? Gas rings? Its not a Halo, its rings on a planet.Gas Rings? No such thing. I do believe they are rings though. You know, rocks.
?
Hoyl -blam!- it's thereOkay, well, this certainly is...interesting?
Gt:dougotgame33Posted by: b00m_headshotThey didn't tell us what it was it could have been anything. Frankie gets scared easy incase you didn't know.-BH-Been here 6 years, been blacklisted 6 times, that's why I'm not Mythic.
There are no Halos near Reach. The Covenant discovered reach by attaching a tracking device to Keyes' ship after the battle at Sigma Octanus IV.
Spartans never die, they are just missing in action...
hmm i could be wrong but i doubt thats a halo ring, it looks like one but if you look at it carefully you´ll notice that it isnt make a proper circle, its kinda like a wild oval shape, which is not what a halo ring is shaped.but it could be just the angle of it.[Edited on 06.01.2009 6:05 PM PDT]

So you want me to believe that Bungie's going against their own canon in their game?
It looks more like a moon's ring to me.
MM
I saw it too.

Doesn't mean that the ring is in system, but that the presence of an installation may be in the game.
Oi! Gefungen De Mender Futz.
It may not be a halo ring but it is no way a planetary ring. When you look at a capture it has little breaks in the middle of the rings, it looks like long morse code lines. it could be some sort of orbital defense ring. And no I haven't read the books so if those do or do not exist I don't care, just saying it is no frelling way a planetary(gas or ice or rocks) ring.
Looks like a ring around that planet to me, not a Halo. I'm sure if a Halo ring was that close to Reach it would have been noted in the book...EDIT: This is another image... HEREIf you look close you can see that has rings similar to planets in our own solar system, some of the rings are more visible (thicker) than others. You can see a few faint lines above and below that one dominant one.[Edited on 06.01.2009 6:17 PM PDT]
