Wayne Jarvis, Attorney at Law; I have a responsibility to tell you that there is no candy in this office.

The fact that there is going to be a beta for this game interests me. It seems the only two reasons they'd have for it would be if

A: Their making a new multiplayer (as if it were a Halo 4) (and yes I know this is a prequel)
B: They're trying something different (third-person shooter, or something else)

I'm really hoping it's just a new multiplayer experience, what do you think?

Hey! :(

I think its just for Hype.

I think it's just because of the new multiplayer with new weapons/maps etc. and maybe a new or tweaked engine.

who said it was a prequel. that was never confirmed

Don't be a troll. It's obvious you're just trying to start up an argument.

Hopefully they include some kind of regional search function. The vast majority of games i've been playing as of late have had people from europe, asia or australia in the party. I'm not hating on them because of who they are, just the lag it creates. What do you guys think, reasonable idea or is it improbable?

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

Betas are great testbeds for new things, or adjusted things.

With such a large following, any change to Halo's multiplayer will need testing to make sure it is verified, as well as test out the maps.

It might be class based, akin to Battlefield
Could be Squad Based, like Ghost Recon
Could be the same, with a variety of improvements (adjustable autoaim, Halo CE melee system, etc...)

This is Bungie's new IP. It is a stand-alone game that will have new gameplay mechanics just like a new game. The difference is that it is believed to be a prequel.

It's for 1 of 2 things, or possibly both. 1: Hype, and 2: To make use of the massive amount of people that will play it for bug testing.

R.I.P. Halo 2
11/9/04 - 4/15/10

- B( )B

It will be for multiplayer, just like they had with Halo 3, and Halo 2 for some very lucky ones.
