I was wondering, would ODST be integrated with Halo 3, and if so, how would you play it? Would you use the Halo 3 disc? etc.

From your Halo 3: ODST disk, you can play Forge, Customs, Theater, and Match Making with people who are on their Halo 3 disk. There is no difference in multiplayer because it is Halo 3's multiplayer- literally copy and pasted so they can be compatible (which is why nothing new can be added to ODST's match making, else they wouldn't be compatible since it's not on the H3 disk).
But ODST will have a new campaign and FireFigh, exclusive to people with the disk. The next three mythic maps will be exclusive to the disk as well (that'll work just as if you were playing with someone who didn't have the heroic maps right now).

It is completely integrated because, apart from the new campaign and campaign mode of firefight, it is the same game, with the convenience of having every map on the disc, mind you, but still the same matchmaking, playlists, features, and population.

However, it will not have the same disc. You will use ODST to play ODST content, and the original if you want to take a stroll through memory lane and play the old campaign. For multiplayer, it won't really matter.
