Subject: Health Packs Confirmed With Proof

It is now proven that ODST uses health packs instead of a CoD like regeneration health system. For proof check out the begining of the gameplay when he jumps out of the drop pod he gets hurt and his health bar shrinks to red and he walks over a health pack and his health goes back up to green.
This may have already been posted but I have been at work all day sorry.

Here is a link to the video.

Points of Interest:
1:28 - Rook jumps out of drop pod and gets hurt.
Walks for 15 seconds with no regeneration of health.
1:44 - Rook walks over a white box and instantly health goes all the way up.
Case closed.

Weird, I remember someone mention that they were sticking with the regenerating health idea. But then again, that was in a magazine.

And in a weekly update. It most likely involves both. Say you don't have time till your health regenerates? Use a health pack. Otherwise, just wait.

WCF Psyanyde - WillClan4Food - GGN Delegate

This is incorrect. The ODST doesn't walk over to a health pack. The shot cuts shortly after he lands to different footage with full health. If you actually watch the trailer closely, it looks like he actually regains a slight bit of health before the shot cuts, leading me to think that there's a constant health regeneration that occurs very slowly.

Health packs are sooo common sense.

Seriously, they don't have MJOLNIR armor, it doesn't regenerate. Did you see the ODST's regenerating their health in Halo 3? No. I think much was obvious.

Makes sense...not mad about it, not exited about it. Good hommage (spelling?) to Halo:CE

My guess is that it employs a system similar to Halo: CE, where there is a small rechargeable shield, but after that is depleted you lose some health and have to pick up a health pack to regenerate that.

Umm smart ones, spartans have sheild regenerators built into their armour.
Do you see anything the ODST are wearing?
Nope closest they have to armour is their shoulders & other is just a normal classic armour body.

I thought this was a good possibility too and it is obvious that it is now the case, but i kinda wish it was regenerating health too.

Agreed. Unlike Spartans, who have a self-recharging, energy force field, ODST's only have basic armor plating. They cannot simply recharge their health as a Spartan w/ shields can within seconds after they get hit.

Spartans also have bio-foam injectors that can patch them up and keep them 'stuck together' long enough to get the job done, ODSTs don't.

Sounds like someone needs a hug.

I actually like health packs. It promotes the idea of having to strike quickly and effeciently without losing as much health rather than go in guns blazing then retreating quickly to regain your shield and repeating the process.

Still they should have done a regenerating health system, heres a list of games that dont have characters with regenerating shields but still have regenerating health:
Rainbow Six
Call of Duty
Gears of War
Far Cry
and there are plenty more and these are all hits.
