there is no fork

During the trailer you hear "Slip space rupture" and another guy says "It can't be" and the dude says "it is sir." Could that mean master chief and cortana slip spaced back in time?

That wouldn't be canon.

No, this is a prequel to the Events of Halo1. The rupture is more Covenant.

Dude I don't care and my grammer is perfect.I used "Big", as you recall it to mak is specific."to not do...",is incorrect beause "do" is present tense/perfect(or future) when it was a past tense.

It's because they thought the covenant had no knowledge of the location of Reach.

  • 06.01.2009 7:44 PM PDT

EDIT: My mistake!

I remember what you're talking about! It's the Covenant leaving slipspace to attack Reach.

Slipspace rupture just means something came out of slipspace, not traveled through time. For example Regret's carrier caused a slipspace rupture when it jumped within New Mombasa to just into slipspace

Hopefully the game will cover major battles and conflicts before Reach. Particularly Sigma Octanus since the confusion and aftermath of that battle with the Covenant able to slip tracking probes trailing Keyes' ship led the Covenant to Reach in the first place.

Yeah, I would really like to see Sigma Octanus IV. And since I have the fall of reach in french, it would be great to actually understand what was going on ;)

This would be a good time to point out that the US Government seriously did consider nuking the moon during the Cold War as a show of force. Project A119.

"A large explosion on the Terminator line would put the sun behind the mushroom cloud, making the explosion visible with the naked eye from Earth."

Then the US decided they'd just send in Neil Armstrong to land on it. Neil Armstrong - the one man on the earth that was considered a suitable replacement for a nuclear missile.

No, it's Covenant. The Covenant has the ability to pinpoint slipspace exits to the nearest centimeter, I think. Some landed inside the planet's atmosphere, while others landed just outside the orbital MAC cannons. Also, there were a lot of Covenant. The UNSC would have picked up multiple pings.

If I remember, the Covenant didn't know that they could Slipspace jump specifically into atmosphere of planets until Cortana did it during the First Strike book right?
