And I'd really like to know why. Comments range from "This game is outdated piece of -blam!- - mediocre at best" to "No new innovative gameplay features, not worth the money, the franchise is being milked".

I'd like to disagree with those comments - I think the Halo 3 engine is still holding strong, and everything looks really sharp and fluid - and keep in mind that this footage might be from earlier builds.

And the gameplay is easily refined. Sure, you might be getting less out of the campaign because it's an expansion, but you have four player co-op, meta-score, and all of this is applicable to firefight, which sounds epic. Not to mention the new health and vision systems, a higher grenade cap, and decreases to strength, and what looks like the increase of the field of view to create a more tactical and co-op based experience.

And I know this might sound fanboyish, but aren't other games like MW2 outdated at this point? I mean, the formula for MW2 is still the same when compared to other games in the series, and it runs on the same, not too refined engine, and yet it doesn't get any hate/criticism whatsoever, and I really don't see why. Not to mention that demo was full of noticeable flaws, though it might be unfinished (so is ODST), and looks much less improved on.

Maybe I can round out these reasons when I actually get my dirty paws on the game. It's still Halo, and it's still probably (meaning 99.9%) incredibly fun to play.

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

The Halo Franchise is far from being "milked". People who think it is need to take a look at Star Wars. I don't even consider that franchise milked because of the amount of success it has had. Halo will be the same.

So, for the children who think making 4-5 games is "milking" something, you have a very small range of tolerance when it comes to your standards of "milkiness".

Basically, it won't offer anything new to gaming, but it will introduce a survival mode for the Halo series, which has been asked for since the release of Halo: Combat Evolved. Bungie obviously listens to their fans. They have my respect and gratitude.

Campiagn Kill Count :31,745. And growing.

The Revisionaries- One of the greatest screenshot groups on B.net. With 250 members and growing.

Halo will never die. Even if they stop making games, it will hold a strong legacy, so why not stop working with it? And people are sure to complain if the story is simply dropped with Halo 3.

As for the expansion, from what I hear it's got its ups and downs. And it has one of the coolest trailers I've ever seen in a Videogame, so that's a major plus. We'll all just have to wait and see.

I'm not talking the forums here - I'm talking communities like Gametrailers (PLEASE DON'T GO OVER THERE AND START A FLAME WAR), their community just seems to want to use every opportunity to bite Halo in the ass one way or another.

What are you guys talking about? The Halo Series is NOT getting OLD in my opinion, people just don't like because of the price. That means there missing out of all the fun.

The Outstanding Standout

It's Halo. The more popular something is, the more hate it will recieve as well. It's natural.

Personally, I'm one of those that feel they're bleeding everyone dry with everything they're charging. I'm not just talking ODST, but every map pack, and rendering the films are going to cost money as well. I understand it's a service they're creating but good god they're charging for everything.

Either way even if theyre are 1000 haters spread out over the internet there are MILLIONS of people who aren't saying anything that are getting this on release date

Haters just seem more promenet because they announce to everyone that they hate the game, they make topics about it, in reality, they are just stupid

People who hate Halo are just mad that no one is playing their favorite game online

Hey, the name is Spryspartan109.Many called me that.

The team player and lone wolf as well, I do both jobs on the Halo rings

I AGREE so much with you really I mean COD4modern warfare 2 (long ass title sorry)I saw it nothing new in it what so ever.I mean the Gameplay is the same is going to be the same, aim shoot that's all the same with, gears 2 piece of -blam!-! the same thing over again thank god I bought it for 20 dollars, even my 20 is not even worth it either.I mean some people might say hey it plays the same as other one Halo ODST I mean, but right now I can't say since the game is not on my hands yet...but last thing I remember doesn't Halo the one game that change FPS as we know it...also since Halo is still the best that's why people not fans or people who didn't enjoy it playing(something must be wrong with them) say things like " I don't like it" "is not fun" etc.But one thing is for sure Halo as I know it gets compared to any shooter out there on the gaming world any even ones you might not even know.Just to show who's the best of FPS why do you think Epic games went to Third-person not First-person with there Unreal games ^_^ they didn't have chance that's why gears gets compared with Halo all the time. Basically all am trying to say is that Halo since I played for the first time it change my way of thinking on FPS also it brings something new to FPS and any game out there,so you tell me? what else can you or I say about Halo "A masterpiece",so much replay time it does not feel the same even if you play it for like 3 hours there something new all the time, you might asked your self, how did Bungie do it We will never know?
